To the moron who phoned Falkirk police regarding the theft of Spinces car, the person phoned whilst drunk claiming he was me , asking for my brother who is a police officer and verbally abusing police staff, whoever done this better come clean in the next 24 hours or i can assure you that this matter will be dealt with very severely, all calls are logged and will be checked for phone numbers etc and that person will be in serious trouble.

I gave Spince some information trying to be helpful and this is how i am repaid, well never again !!!!!

I suggest this person comes clean to avoid a police investigation and prosecution and makes a formal apology to police staff concerned.

If nobody comes clean regarding this matter i will have no option to ask my brother to investigate it as i am not taking the blame for something i never done, i certainly made no phone call abusing staff and i will insist tapes are searched, for which records are kept of voice and telephone numbers to prove it was not me that made that call!!!

I am totally disgusted by this persons actions, like i said they have 24 hours from now or they will face the consequences.

It has to be someone from here or someone who reads the posts on here as i posted the information on here and this is the only place that they could have known my brothers name, I sincerely hope this is not a friend of Spince who has done this as the poor guy has enough to deal with just now, all i ask is the person comes clean to avoid an investigation

Can I ask one thing, on that Thursday did you phone me Jambo Scooby and leave a message on my mobile. I think it was as you also posted in the forums to phone Falkirk Police Station the car stolen was infact an Audi.

Jambo I have no idea what your brothers name is. As far as I know Ive been the only one contacting the police and Ive been sober.

The only person Ive been asking is the PC that was at my house that night. You can PM Jambo if you want his name.

Was it your brother who told about the phone calls ?

I thought it might have been a good thing posting on here, thinking someone would spot the car. Im starting to regret it now because someone thinks they are having a laugh or they know something about the car.

May be worth bearing in mind that this may not have been someone that reads/posts only in Scottish Scoobies. Spince's theft was a sticky in General for a week so it could be anyone that reads the SIDC forums and has no connection with anyone in the Scottish Scoobies community.

Might be worth posting up on General about this as well.

The Web is a funny old thing. Brings out the best in folk in communities such as this, but also brings the w*****s out of the woodwork. The motivation for doing so is beyond me, but it happens nonetheless. Spince - I'm in your area and cover the whole of Scotland in my job. It's a pretty distinctive car and I've kept my eyes open for it so I don't think you did wrong in posting here. The more eyes out for it, the better.

I agree, I rarely see scoobies in west lothian, putting it on the general discussions brings out the awareness of the whole country, i would have thought it was unlikely that the thieving sc_mbags will still drive it around the area...

these people obviously knew what they where doing, it could have been the thieves that called up...... they could be fishing for information?

Be rest assured i will take this the whole way, the person who done such a mindless thing must be brought to pay for the disruption he has caused, not only causing a fall out between two very close brothers but causing Spince more grief and potentially putting a police officers career in jeopardy, the truth will come out sooner rather than later.

I am so dismayed by all this carry on that i am seriously considering withdrawing my sidc membership and making this my last post.

so then they create another user name and come back to haunt us again, seen all this before, sorry if i sound cynical, i just feel right now that the regulations on joining should be more stringent, as it is a sidc club only paid up members should be allowed to view or post , my views on this will no doubt mellow through time but nobody can afford reckless idiots like this in any club, i am happy in my heart however this person will pay the price of trying to be a smart (_I_)

Jambo - bear in mind it could have been the thieving scum themselves that made the call. You can hardly blame the SIDC for that. A good way to throw the POlice off their trail perhaps?? I agree it's completely out of order, but in my opinion it's not likely to have been a genuine enthusiast. Get the police to investigate it, that's the most sensible way forward I'd say.

Everyone should bear in mind that this is a PUBLIC forum, so anything you post could just as easily be read by the undesireables as the enthusiasts. Sad, but true
