jamie_wood Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Just wanted to let all you folks know about the new Japanese performance car garage thats now doing loads of Scooby, Mitsubishi's, Toyota's and more. MVM or Manse vehicle managment, is located in Cairneyhill, near Dunfermline. Its about 10 -15 minutes from the fourth road bridge. Droped by this afternoon and had a word with Charly, the owner of the company. He has sold quite a few scoobys and Evos, etc. And he is more than happy to carry out servicing, repairs and MOT's on any cars brought to him. Imports or Uk. Hes also making stainless steel systems for the cars too. Just let them know what yout looking for and they can sort it out. Saw a little of their stock and its very impressive Sports Cats, loads of silencers, etc. Other noticable diference to quite a few other jap importers I noticed was..........all the cars are really tidy All have the discs and calipers painted, proper stereos fitted and they are damage free!! I know this sounds like a bit of a plug for the place, but Im just amazed at the quality of cars he has!! The website isnt up and running properly yet, but its being built just now. Its has a map and contact numbers , so it gives the essentials MVM-Imports If you do happen to drive by, dont be put off by only seeing a few cars, Charly has a lot more cars in another area. For those who know the area and the building.......dont be confused and think its just Sports car services under a new name. Its the absolute opposite. This is a professionaly run outfit and there is no dodgy dealing going on Charly is a sound guy and is working hard at providing a 1st class service to his customers. Mechanics are good guys too, makes it a bit easier when your asking any advice Just thought I would spread the word

Waste of my time and fuel going back and forwards. Rednosespeccltd Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Lol check the date of the first thread. I also phoned a few times in the past and asked about a couple of cars, did not seem to be forthcoming with answers either so i walked away, glad i did. I am sure they have a car advertised as a spec D but does not match up. Mac

stubaroo Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Before buying my current car I had briefly looked at what MVM had to offer one weekend just by chance really as I passed through Cairnyhill. Wasn't overly impresed with them at all. Overall the quality of Subaru's at that time weren't great, in my humble opinion. However one car did catch my eye. It was noted that there was a rather nice Blitz Nur Spec back box fitted. Anyway I asked for a price on the car and was told that it was new in and they hadn't priced it up yet. Fair enough. Phoned during the following week but was still given no info. Their website wasn't updated all that week either. Went back in the next weekend for a second look and the backbox had been switched for a standard STI effort. Mentioned this to the owner who point blank told me that no swappies had been done on the backboxes! I pointed out also that the back seats looked a bit dirty/muddy. Was told that the 'young lad' at the garage had been using the car to 'deliver tyres'!! On that bomb shell I turned and left never to return. Now that was almost 1 and 1/2 years ago, so can't comment on today's service.
Hightower Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 i think that there stuff in pretty overpriced!
superstar_tradesman Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Steer well clear, there are people on here that have had bad dealings with this lot. Cars aren't always what they seem
RS Grant Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 They made me a cash offer on my STi the other day... guess they've got someone for a Hawkeye STi at the moment and are trawling Pistonheads for potential cars. Cheers, Grant
