Got my place booked and I will be out with something a bit different!

The ADMC days are normally excellent value and fun, and you can end up sharing the track with lots of Rally and Race car (and the guys aren't there to pootle around and look good face-icon-small-wink.gif) face-icon-small-happy.gif Expect lots of sideways Mk 2 Escorts, Peugeot 205s etc at every corner. Very entertaining!

Perhaps not ideal for a first timer with a road car, but great fun, even if you just go along to watch.

Skunk..I know there is an SIDC track day the weekend before and I will probably be there as I often am. however I have a race meeting on the 24th and I don't want to risk the car. I know that there are a couple of SIDC ADMC members too. Some of the track day slags just can't get enough track time either.

Anyway look forward to meeting you Skunk face-icon-small-smile.gif

Had a good day. Track very busy and some of the driving was a bit dodgy.

Best laugh of the day was when the guy who drives the "Tattoo crazy" green Nova fell of and mangled the front of his car. He was driving too fast round the paddock at the last SIDC day. he was in a discussion with the driver of a mk5 RS2000 rally car in a "full and frank" manner. face-icon-small-happy.gif

Dodgy driving !!!! There was more red flags than you see at a bullfight. I counted 12 in three hours...all for recovery face-icon-small-shocked.gif

The 'mint' or not so mint green Nova was amusing. Must have been the world record for leaving the pits to returning smashed. The driver was bleeting on about how some inconsiderate chap got in his way. Even tho he was on an outlap, going far to fast and passing on the blind side face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-confused.gif He was also not amused at me suggesting that its okay, his track insurance would cover him........some folk cannot take a joke face-icon-small-happy.gifface-icon-small-cool.gif

I've a photo of it which I'll post up later..

I've also posted some pics on the MLR site http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.p...&threadid=60047

Hi John

Didn't see you there did you not see my white 205 with the big arches. Having lots of fun with offroad suspension, sloppy gear linkage and standard 205 gti brakes. engine not right either but I was most unhappy with those impatient b**tards who are determined to race you even though they can see you having problems ie stepping out under braking and missing gears.

I take it you saw the Nova/Escort incident. the escort driver lives 30m from me and is a regular tarmack rally driver. He is also a large chap and he was very cool when nova man got in his face. when nova man was told that we had been briefed about not overtaking on the incident he shouted what briefing? i thought that summed it up. face-icon-small-happy.gif
