Phil MC
You need to be very careful with that road Neil. It's a very popular route with many cyclists. I've cycled to and around there many times. It links the two major outdoor centres of the Trossachs, Aberfoyle & Loch Katrine, so please treat it with caution. It is a great road, without a doubt , and I remember seeing some youtube footage on here a year or two back of someone driving very fast and taking risks along there, but all I'm saying is just to treat that route with a little caution . neill54
Yeah Phil I defo agree I was taking it very easy as I'd never driven it before I nearly got wiped out by the out rider for the Clyde valley road race! It was a nice sweeping road loved it for that alone doubt I was above 40 at any point( new biker!) Neil Link to comment
gus the bus
Neil, this road has been used on previous SIDC excursions.......and bike ones too. Fantastic road but not one to lose your concentration on or its Give us a shout if you are gonig out on the bike I'm always looking for an excuse. Left my "biking" until the roads were a bit quieter last night but oh what fun I had. All well within the speed limit( of the bike ) obviously Link to comment
paul555sti
Bloody love that road! If you dont get four wheels in the air a couple of times your not trying hard enough Although one of our members has less fond memories of it after a run with another club earlier this year. Link to comment
Phil MC
I agree Gus & Paul, from what I remember it is like a few miles of constant whoops & berms to use a bmxing analogy . Link to comment
Phil MC
The road reminds me of the small windy road just past Faslane Naval Base, we called "The Washboard" . Link to comment
G4RY
Phil, is that the glenmallon road? I drive that once a week in a transit & it's not fun. Link to comment
Phil MC
Phil, is that the glenmallon road? I drive that once a week in a transit & it's not fun. Not sure the name of it, but probably the one and same, bouncy-bouncy in a transit though . I used to go there with my motorbikes, and it's just wheelie popping heaven . Link to comment
scoobywho
The dukes pass is where i first learned to drift in my c class totally by mistake in the rain late at night major wet pant moment Link to comment
