scooby222
looking at possibly getting a carbon bonnet due to time constraints for fixing the car in time for the fling and wondering if it would be a bit too chav with the vents/louvres up the side like this http://www.seiboncarbon-uk.com/pdut_detail_pic.asp?ItemID=511 or just keep it standard looking - either way itl be painted blue with the odd bit of weave exposed Link to comment
davey l wrx
You can't paint the weave........ Leave it as is and watch as you slowly start to buy more and more of it. I still haven't fitted the carbon bits i've got for the Hawk cos i know once one bit goes on it'll get expensive! Link to comment
wrx kenny
Love it . I'd have it in a minute Dave. Kenny Link to comment
scouk
Quite like that stype of bonnet.. But onyl certain cars can truely pull it off... You "might" jsut get away with it! Busy watchign F1 qualy at the mometn otherwise I'd go googling for some photos of it fitted. BTW - SOunds liek your in for a busy week! THat's me pretty much ready now. GOt one last 'test session' on Wednesday as I take a trip through to Fraserburgh Link to comment
badbaz
Like the bonnet but the silver mesh is absolutely terrible! How can't the bonnet be painted Davey? Link to comment
scooby222
the mugen carbon bonnet on our integra was painted and i loved it like that, very sleeper silver mesh can be painted Barry Link to comment
g1983
Thats some bonnet A nice graphite grey or Matt black mesh would be more in keeping than the zinc. still cracking Link to comment
kaylz_555
Prefer standard one....but then prefer standard scoobs. If you like it, get it Link to comment
davey l wrx
I've sprayed the mesh on my carbon bonnet anthracite. Matches the wheels and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Question now though.... do i fit it of not! Link to comment
scouk
I'm not a huge fan of plain CF looking stuff. But if it's colour coded and the weave is showing through slightly.. Strangely I think that's a really nice effect Edited April 21, 2012 by ScoUK Link to comment
spect
There is a black hawk track car in Paignton at Speed Culture with that bonnet fitted. It looks ok but as you said, the silver grills look wrong against the CF. Mind you the track car has flourescent green roll cage, seats and instrument panels - eeek. The bonnet looks good in shape fitted though Link to comment
ciaranrb5
Get one without vent looks great Link to comment
