scouk
New VED (Cartax) Rates from 1st April 2012!! Costing me extra £15 this year for both the Ka and Impreza!.. Could be worse, they could be slapping on an extra 3.02p/litre on to cost of fuel in August! Oh wait.. davey l wrx
Great 2 scoobies - thankfully both 2 liter motors and Citroen C4 1.6 to tax. At least none of them need done for a while. For those who haven't signed it yet here's the Fair Fuel Campaign details. The more the merrier, never know it might have some sort of effect. http://www.fairfueluk.com/index.html Edited March 21, 2012 by davey l wrx Link to comment
scoobywho
If everyone stopped paying tax im sure they would lower the costs Link to comment

davey l wrx
There could be a loophole guys..... Road haulage firms are exempt from the rise in 'road fund licence'. Register yourself as a haulage firm and list the scooby as a company vehicle! Could be a bit excessive to get away with paying the extra £15 though Link to comment

scouk
Yeah my impreza was registered on 1st April 2001.. Had it been just over a month earlier it'd be on the old engine size table and £220 rather than £270 ...Still I get enough satisfaction from knowing I can pay the road tax for both cars and it still costs less than my bro with his RB320 On the stop payign road tax thing (can't find the article again) but read the other day about petrol station cameras beign tied to ANPR system to track down un insured/untaxed cars who are filling up with fuel! Great idea IMHO! Edited March 22, 2012 by ScoUK Link to comment

spect
Don't rub it in Russ. Seems a totally arbitory date to set it from, why not the August registration date - or all cars with the dirty engines? Link to comment
russ b
It sucks really, I bet my old R5GTT kick out more CO's than the scooby & its way cheeper to tax, makes no sence. Link to comment
