ANDYJDMSTI Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Nice little article on Speedhunters about the car. Loving the battery tie down STI
scooby222 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 now thats more like it! could see one of those on the drive, loving the carbon roof and bonnet and that battery tie down is this years must have accessory - who's going to be first at having a bash at making their own
scouk Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 (edited) Yeah those carbon panels really finish it off! I know there'a zillions of comments on teh net about it not being turbo'd, not AWD and no burble etc.. But IT's the missign the point.. There bretherin of vehciles were designed to be true drivers cars, and from the reviews startign to spill through, it's one of the best there's been since hte mad 80's! I'd be more than happy to have one! As a repeat to a comment I made a few months back.. My perfect 3 car garage: My Scoob (the project), Forester Diesel (the sensible choice) and a Subaru BRZ for true playtime in the summer! Yep there's definately a market for those battery clamps!! ANDYJDMSTI Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 I highly doubt it will come with the carbon bonnet as standard, probably something more like the lightweight aluminium ones you get on JDM'S. Am also pretty sure there will be a "hot" version with the boxer in it too at some point.
corsa Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Showed Shaz the battery clamp and she said why are their handcuffs there I think a wee home made set of those battery clamps could be achieved
StrikE Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Gorgeous car, just wish it was a 4 x 4 turbo 380/350 as standard I would love one too
scooby222 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 you lucky boy Davie - like how her mind works
stum450n Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Am also pretty sure there will be a "hot" version with the boxer in it too at some point. erm, they all have the boxer engine anyway, it's just that they're not turbocharged... Yet
ANDYJDMSTI Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 erm, they all have the boxer engine anyway, it's just that they're not turbocharged... Yet You know what I mean Mr Pedantic!!
stum450n Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 You know what I mean Mr Pedantic!! I didn't, that's why I clarified the point
lewisscoob Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I'm going to stick my neck out here. I dont like the clamp, over engineered and entirely un-necessary. However,I do like the car. It's crying out for a decent set of anthracite or black wheels.
StrikE Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 The clamp should be substituted by a huge fecking turbo and a rear diff............................... COME ON SUBARU SORT YOUR SHEET OUT GUYS
scooby222 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 cmon, they can sell anything they make even without a huuuge turbo - people even bought the hatch......
rig-pig Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 im sure it will only be a matter of time before their is a 500bhp STi engine in there
badbaz Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 The clamp should be substituted by a huge fecking turbo and a rear diff............................... COME ON SUBARU SORT YOUR SHEET OUT GUYS Eh?? Don't you mean front diff you big fairy puff?
BalliSTIc Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 cmon, they can sell anything they make even without a huuuge turbo - people even bought the hatch...... That is an ENTIRELY unecessary comment... *chuckle* ...but when Del comes away with gems like that! Tarred with the same brush 'n' all.
Vimmy Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 That is a great looking car. great to see the engine layout not much different from the normal scoobs, albeit they put the intake manifold on back to front
StrikE Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 front, middle, back, top or bottom who cares! As for Dave's comment......grow TFU
badbaz Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 front, middle, back, top or bottom who cares! As for Dave's comment......grow TFU That's old age for you Del
