johns Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 This was posted as a reply on FB earlier today: "Lets hope 35 year old George Halliday of Ferguson Street, Johnston does get what he deserves! A 25K fine to replace the ambulance is a good start."
scouk Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Anything less than a prison sentance is being way to lenient! Prison for 10 years and strung up by the testies. I'm a compassionate person but if he has kids and they ever need medical attention I kinda hope they suffer for any delayes the emergency service have trying to get to them. Clearly he doesn't want anyone to help them....
jamesm Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Anyone hear what happened to the little scrote at the court yeaterday? I think he was remanded and will appear again at a later date.
G.Mac Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Good at least he was remanded and wasnt allowed to walk out
jamesm Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Good at least he was remanded and wasnt allowed to walk out ------------ A MAN was yesterday accused of stealing a kids' ambulance which was later found torched. George Halliday, 35, was remanded in custody after a brief appearance at Paisley Sheriff Court. The Record revealed on Tuesday that the Subaru 4x4 - used by specialist paediatric teams - was stolen from outside an on-call medic's house. The £25,000 car was used to get paramedics quickly to critically ill children and was hailed as a godsend during last winter's snow. It was found burnt out in Paisley on Tuesday evening after disappearing from outside the house in nearby Johnstone, Renfrewshire. Halliday, 35, of Johnstone, appeared in private yesterday charged with stealing the vehicle. He was also charged with breaking into a house in the same street and stealing two sets of car keys, electrical items, two laptops, personal papers, bank cards and a number of NHS documents. Halliday made no declaration and the case was continued. The car was donated by Subaru through the Yorkhill Children's Foundation charity. It was used by Scotland's only two children's intensive care units, in Glasgow and Edinburgh. -------------

scuba dou Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Good effort from S-UK. No compassion for the lunitic who did this. Mindless act.....
marko72 Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 (edited) A reasonably reliable source has stated to me that this will most likely have been a search for drugs, items to sell for drugs as the perp is a well known drug addict and housebreaker. Ive been told he also broke into a house before, stole a purse, personal items from a woman including her coat, then spotted the next day walking about wearing the aforementioned stolen womans coat..................daftie.
