maddogsx Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Well there's one less Catalunya about now, number 20 has met it's demise. In the guise of a green john deere combine harvester, my side of the road, no escort vehicle...farmer stated he should have had one and normally did. I tried to climb up the embankment, but the wheels would have went right over the rear where my two and four year old daughters were sitting, so had to be the rear wheel and hope it didn't go over car, and if it did just pray it stopped on me and not my kids. kids are ok except for burn and bruise where the belt marked her, wife's still in hosp.
StrikE Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) jesus christ man hope you are ok? Dont like seeing kids in a car damaged like that & hope they are ok, to hell with the car Edited September 28, 2010 by StrikE
Gumball Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 OMG !! Glad the kids are OK and hope the wife is fine too ! Thats the main thing. New scooby for xmas hopefully
patsy Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Dull one. Could have been alot more nasty by the looks of things. Glad everyone is okay though. You'll all be rather shaken up after that one! Ryan
scouk Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Yeow!!! that's a nasty one! Really lucky there.. Hope eveyone is ok! Farmer will definately be in deep do-doo with that one!! Bit of a freight all roudn I'd of thought! If anythign that's proof that there CAN be a tractor round every corner Shame about the Catalunya but very lucky indeed!
rig-pig Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 fook glad every one's ok, cars are easily replaced
badbaz Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Bloody hell! At least you are (mostly) ok, as always cars can be replaced, people cannot. I sympathise with you as I met one last night, more lights than a UFO shining all over the shop and taking up more than his share of the road. More luck than judgement avoided a similar fate. Hope you all recover soon.
maddogsx Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 jesus christ man hope you are ok? yer, I'm sore but otherwise ok...apart from being in one hell of rager of a mood. I'd actually stopped the car, and attempted top get up the embankment, but the verge was to high to get the scoob to climb up from a stop kids seem ok, news from hospital isn't very bright they're sending my mrs for CT Scan suspected a fracture in her neck bone somewhere.
myles Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 For Gods sake! I hope the Mrs is ok, and the kids dont dwell on it too much. Scary moment.
StrikE Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Bad news on the good lady, really hope its not too bad

Chris180883 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 OMFG !!! Feel for ya mate as long as the kiddies n missus are ok that's the main thing a car can be replaced..
scooby_speirsy Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 thank god you are all alright mate.
thefastone Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Holy crap! Mate I really hope that your wife is OK, and I'm glad to hear that you and your kids are! Crap about the car though, and I hope that they nail the farmer to the wall, it was serious enough this time, but it could very easily have been fatal... Hope you get into another scooby soon mate.
marko72 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 My sympathies. Car accidents are horrible things to be involved in. Hope your wife is ok.
Alastair Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) That looked like one bad accident, glad to hear you are all ok . You'll be gutted bout loosing the car but another pride and joy can be bought family can't be replaced so easily...... Edited September 28, 2010 by Alastair
mystery machine Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Very scary Glad that you and the kids are OK, hope that the wife makes a full recovery soon
jamesm Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Glad you are ok mate, looks a sore one. It is a shame about the car but the main thing is that you are all ok. I sympathise with you as I met one last night, more lights than a UFO shining all over the shop and taking up more than his share of the road. More luck than judgement avoided a similar fate. Lights? An alien feature to the farmers down my way. Twice met a tractor in the dark in the last 2 weeks with no lights whatsoever.
maddogsx Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 bit of an update, Katy's home from hosp, got a ct scan and it came up clear, she's bruised her spine, whatever that means. (shes home that's all that matters) Farmer is screwed he's broke so many laws from not displaying a valid tax disc to travelling a distance between sites greater than 1.5km as legally allowed to with nill duty tax (which he hadn't bothered with since 2006................would have been interesting if the scoob wasn't taxed the outcome difference then.) Already looking at a Terzo
cruz104 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Very sorry to read this, hope everyone makes a full recovery from that nasty accident.
wrx kenny Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 glad to hear everyone is more or less ok kenny
scooby222 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 gutted for you mate, mustve been terrifying! at least everyones pretty much ok, dont let the insurance muck you about, you need to get out there scob shopping to cheer yourself up!! also id look at a personal injury claim for the missus, i know how these things can develop and get worse over time - still waiting on mine to be sorte out after almost 2 years!
StrikE Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Glad the family is ok, but i rekon you should hold out for the right money m8 for the Catalunya as they are trading for £4000+ just make sure the insurance company knows this
