terzo neil Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 nice car but i dont like the front grills that have been fitted, looks to spoil the looks
scouk Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 but i dont like the front grills that have been fitted, looks to spoil the looks A few owners have started fitting black grills which improove it quite a bit IMHO! Here's a pic of my bro's one #39.. Wonder how long it takes to spot the car Probably never been as clean as it was 3 years ago
sczscoob Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 MMmmm very nice, when's it coming to Cullen for it's holidays?? I'll be over when i get home again.
tommo9375 Posted September 11, 2010 Author Posted September 11, 2010 but i dont like the front grills that have been fitted, looks to spoil the looks
tommo9375 Posted September 11, 2010 Author Posted September 11, 2010 Cheeers for all the comments guys Wayne i'm sure it will be over to Cullen soon but not for holidays
C_WRX Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) Oh very nice, good buy. I was in Grieves a few weeks back and they had a very nice one in then, but by sounds of it this was sourced elsewhere for you - either way I'm liking it...and not just cause of the colour either ! Enjoy. Edited September 11, 2010 by C_WRX
neill54 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Grieves have three in one sold and two others in the showroom both stunning but at very different ends of the Market Neil
tommo9375 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Iain Grieves had 5 RB320's when i was down on friday ,1 sold ready to be picked up ,my one and a guy from Rochdale was in buying one when i was there and 2 sitting in the showroom.Never seen so much RB's in one place at the same time...
tommo9375 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 It's a totally different drive to the Hatch which seemed 'floaty' ,the RB has a nice tight gearbox and pulls like a train in every gear -even 6th and i feel more confident driving it due to it feeling more planted to the road .It just feels like a Scooby should where as if i hadn't put new alloys, exhaust and mudflaps on my hatch it would just feel like any other car when driving it .
sinny Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Looking stunning m8, really nice. Everytime I was in grieves I would have a look around the 1 in the showroom
JSFB Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Superb car. Done the same as you chooped in my hatch for a hawkeye, not quite a rb320 but still a huge improvement on the hatch.
tommo9375 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) Here's some better pics after giving it a good clean this morning; Put the decals on the foglight covers yesterday but not 100% sure if it's too much or not and i think the right hand side one is slightly squint Edited September 15, 2010 by tommo9375
scouk Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 I'm not one for supporting mods on special editions but I do like the extra stickers on the front.. It's the only angle (apart from the roof) which doesn't have an tango sticker on it.. And suits the car IMHO.. Also if you come up behind someone, it's pretty damn clear what he car is and not just a run of hte mill WRX
gus the bus Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 very nice mate, still fancy one myself although your starting to ccatch up on gus for frequency of scoob changes...... Ahem, its been 2 years and 3 months since I changed mine . Anyhoo, beautiful car Tommo, deffo a favourite in the newages
sczscoob Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Yep i agree, very subtle. Ok who's going to start the sweepy to see how long he keep this one?
mystery machine Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Looking even nicer all cleaned up with the sun bouncing off it The decals work nicely too. Intel inside?
tommo9375 Posted September 12, 2010 Author Posted September 12, 2010 Yep i agree, very subtle. Ok who's going to start the sweepy to see how long he keep this one? I'll be keeping this one a long time Wayne..
hosstheboss Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) I'll be keeping this one a long time Wayne.. Well done Tommo, i thought you had those "I want one" looks when were chatting in Ullapool. I have the stickers for the fog light covers as well and will get them on soon. Like some of the others have mentioned I'm thinking of getting the lower grill powder coated black - once i get the fcukin thing straightened out - watch them pesky rabbits mate!! may well get the upper ones done as well but don't really want to change the original look of the car too much? Edited September 13, 2010 by hosstheboss
road warrior Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Love the RB320, my favourite looking newage. You lucky guy! Here's a photo of my WRX, I got the bottom grill painted 32J to match the car, just to give you an idea... I think it finishes off the front end well, rather than having the large gaping hole there, and doesnt look as out of place as the chrome grill does
cullenmin Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Love it graeme, will have to have a nosey at it sometime Rich
bobbyc Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Wish i'd known you were coming down Thommo I'm only a couple of minutes from Grieves you could have been round for a brew, cars stunning by the way mate hope you enjoy it, I was out for a spin in a focus RS today in the wet running 400 bhp now that was fun, it felt a much more sorted car than the scoob all round & has got me thinking lol
