icedog13 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Nice looking classic! Deep shine as well. Thinking of selling my 53 plate STi and "going back to the classics".
Ovv Posted June 6, 2010 Author Posted June 6, 2010 Cheers for the comments folks, Lovely looking classic. Get yourself a set of STI rear lights to get it totally de-tangoed Aye thats something I might look into, Im not looking to do anything cosmetically to the car except get a few wee bits on the roof looked at. Apart from that it will stay exactly as bought. Glad your happy and it was'nt a wasted journey for you.Cheers, Paul T. Was well worth the trip down mate, the journey home was a tad bit slower though.
StewartyBoy Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Thats a lovely looking classic, looks in great condition.
Ovv Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 Well after an extremely long day yesterday I made my way down from work in Aberdeen to pick up the car. Extremely pleased with the car, took it easy on the way home just to get used to it, blown away by both the performance and handling. Chris

BalliSTIc Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Sweeeet. Really sorry you can't make next week's Tayside meet now... she's a looker! Mind you, it'll give you some time to practice *lol* Enjoy every minute, mate! Looks like you have a goodun there. The anthracite wheels look really nice with the dark blue. (Unless I've been stupid and misread an earlier post) What's the spec?
Vimmy Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Gorgeous looking car, as old as they are the Classics still look the better car, in my eyes anyway

Yip, cheers for the PM with info Jamie. Sweeeet.Really sorry you can't make next week's Tayside meet now... she's a looker! (Unless I've been stupid and misread an earlier post) What's the spec? No problem about the meet, there is always July mate. Had almost given up looking to be honest, I couldnt quite stretch my money for RS Grants and all the others I had looked at were past their best, then the opportunity to get this one came up and I knew from the pictures that it was going to be a good one, after going to look at it and spending sometime with the previous owner Paul, the decision was made. As for spec, I didnt mention it, but turns out this car has been in SIDC before with Jamie, who kindly supplied me with some more info about the exhaust system. Anyways spec is as follows: Hi Spec Monster 4 pot brake conversion with Ferodo DS2500 pads with Goodridge brake hoses Recently refurbished Leda Adjustable coilover suspension, New TRE's / Ball joints and full fast road alignment by Progrip Stainless steel 3" decat d/pipe into 2.5" - Hayward and scott downpipe, magnex centre pipe and an original scoobysport backbox. Andy Forrest stage 1 remap Exedy Clutch and Toda Racing Lightweight Flywheel Quick shift, samco y pipe and inlet pipe, panel filter, Front strut brace. Whiteline droplinks all round Crystal light kit Prodrive mudflaps Fully refurbished and powder coated anthrisite 17" subaru alloy wheels with Khumo tyres Interior is totally standard except for prodrive gearknob and a gearstick lock Heaps of paperwork including original bill of sale, lots of servise history and receipts. Apart from a few stone chips on the bumper and the wee bits on the roof, its as straight as an arrow. Any recommendations on someone to look at the wee bits on the roof in the Dundee area would be much appreciated. Cheers for all the comments, I think alot of credit goes to all the previous owners who have kept it in such good condition, I plan to do the same as its a weekend toy only. Chris.
