Howdy mate,

Welcome to the forum, quite a few Dundee based folks on here, Im sure they will be along to say hello.

Liking the scoob, always loved the spoiler and black lights on the bug. Similar to the old UK300 ??

No real spec grant just a few tweaks such as short shifter, sti springs and wheels, uk300 wing, prodrive/morette headlights, defi guages, and an exhuast of unknown make at the mo some saying possible zero sport or prodrive but always thought prodrive was smaller.....want to change it to be honest and after possible new wheels and seats

Hi mate - again, welcome.

Car looks great... hope you enjoy scooby ownership. It ain't cheap, but as long as you accept that, you're home and dry! The burble rocks the soul... once you've had it, you'll always be disappointed when you go elsewhere... just ask RS Grant! *lol* (Although the 'Teggy is rather tidy too!)

All the Tayside owners I've met are a friendly lot and new faces are always welcome at meets - keep an eye on the "Events" board...

... Oh, speaking of which, you're not free on sunday are you? *chuckle* Am a bit thin on the ground for a run out - LINK HERE (PLUG-PLUG!!!)

BTW, just a thought - dunno if you wanna consider hiding the no. plates in the pics for security's sake?

Welcome, i thought i'd seen and heard new Scooby floating round the camp area. Mines the stickered up blob-eye parked down by the old folks home. Might bump into you sometime for a chat.

Aye, but it's a good drive!

Nae worries - another time perhaps.

I think everyone's feeling pinch... hence why I'm not stressing about the run numbers being a bit thin on the ground. But I digress...

Just noticed this thread Rollo, you never let on you had bought a scoob. Last time I spoke to you, you had bought that BMW. The Type-R is looking good in that thread and I spot the Civc Monster Truck in the background!

Next time your down Dundee gives a shout.

Welcome to the SIDC!

Nice clean looking bug you got yourself! And previous SIDC owner should mean it's well looked after

Will be sure to give you a wave if I see ya going about

Ahh Ryan San lol yeah needed to scratch that itch for a scoob!!! Cheers for the welcome guys much appreciated have pm'd the previous owner but no reply as yet as there is a gap in the service history that I'd like to fill in......so far loving the car but am very apprehensive to really give it some stick!!! As breaking it would no doubt be grounds for divorce fae the long haired general!!!(the wife) some wee bits and bobs need done linke the bonnet scoop had polish left on it and cracked all the laquer in the sun so the previous owner sanded it down with rough 240 spec sandpaper!!! Clown!!!! So need a new scoop narrowly missed 2 on the bay for 20quid each!!! And got a knocking from the rear so investigation required and also are the standard brakes crap????

Posted

The standard brakes aren't bad Stevie Rollo... from the pics it looks like yours could maybe use a refurb?? The standard 4-pots are known to need an overhaul after a while, Ciaran on here does them on an exchange basis. Decent discs, pads and braided lines are plenty good enough for fast road work with standard 4-pots in good condition.

Cheers,

Grant
