bmwhere? Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 No chance that I'll be posting a picture of my younger self My first car was a Y reg 950cc Ford Fiesta Popular Plus! Used to be my mums car and was donated as a shared car between the 3 kids although as my bro and sis were students, and I was working, I got the most use out of it! First car of my own was a Ford Escort 1.3i Ghia on a C plate, also inherited from my mum, but this time I paid £1000 for it. Reason I bought it, best value for money
stum450n Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Ah the Keith Flint look lol I knew the Prodigy had influenced alot of people but Cheers Iain You guessed it! Right around the time of Jilted Generation, even had a furry mammoth fleece that I used to wear as well... There's worse photos, like the checkerboard hair, the star, the errr, mullet and I even had a mohawk at one stage but those photos are WELL hidden!
stum450n Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 time to un hide them..... lol Hmmmmn, that'll never happen!
stinger Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 My first car was a Morris Marina Coupe that my Mum bought for me. I loved that car though i did have to rebuild the engine to stop it drinking a gallon of oil every 100 miles. Wrote it off twice first time someone ploughed into the back of me, one of those i saw it was going to happen in the rear view about 20 seconds before it did and had plenty of time to get scared. Second time, going for a bit of a play down the lanes near home where there was a slight bump in the road that if you hit it at about 75 you went airborne. Suffice to say such a game, in a single track usually empty lane, doesnt go well when the once in a blue moon car coming the other way occurs!
alzayuk300 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Mines was a Mk1 Cavalier 1600, Green. Great fast car when I was 17. I never really knew much about cars at that time so driving about with the oil light on for a few weeks gave the engine its last rights. Still loved it though.
monkip1 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 (edited) MY first car and i saved up 3 months wedges from Asders to buy it was a MK2 Golf 1.3 carb, full GTi bodykit, TSW multispoke wheels, lowered, all round tits, Tornado Red, 3 slat grill ect ect. I loved that car, but sold it on to buy my Bmw E36 2.5 24v 4door saloon, with the facelift 18" Alpina alloys and lowered. Oh then I bought the Scooby 3 years ago lol. Edited March 12, 2010 by MonkiP1

Bailey73 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 My first car was a 1984 BMW 318i.. Paid £1600 for it and drove if for about 4 months until someone from Brize Norton hit me from behind causing £600 of damage.. ... with the damage to the back end I part exchanged it for a Fiesta XR2 after the garage gave me £1600 Trade in, few days later the insurance coughed up a cheque for £600 so out of that I managed to make £600 on the car
Dorsetdaffodil Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 lovely little faded green Austin A35 for 40 quid - lasted a year, but was running bad at the end, 20 odd mpg on 5 star and 200 odd on oil then A40 for £65 - off to halfords for a can of matt black paint for the bonnet & I thought I was the dogs. Retired that for a brand new vauxhall magnum 1800 on an N plate for a massive £1450. god I'm old ......... Errr YEP lmao
