ciaranrb5 Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 white car was my old 306 rallye Glyn - now that was a PROPER hatch lol actually saw the rallye recently all fixed it. It needed a fair bit of work when I got rid it was just too dam slow
ciaranrb5 Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 (edited) Well after a few a bit of indecision I have made a decision The engine and gearbox will be coming out of the 4 door and going away for a refresh and will then be bolted back in the 4 door and the front mounted GT30R fitted as this is the quickest cheapest option and means the car will be up and running for next spring. Unlike me I have been buying and selling a few bits And anybody know what these are? Edited September 15, 2011 by ciaranrb5
BalliSTIc Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Several pieces of laminate flooring and some dried grass... oh and some metal things... Gearbox shafts?
ciaranrb5 Posted September 15, 2011 Author Posted September 15, 2011 Several pieces of laminate flooring and some dried grass... oh and some metal things... Gearbox shafts? Sort of they are through axels to replace the standard ones that tend to be the weak link in R180 shafts. Same type as run by Mr Forrest and mad hammer who both run over 700 on them with no breakages so far so should be prefect for my mear 500/500ish
arch Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 CV's break more often than the shafts might be worth thinking about them as well
ciaranrb5 Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 CV's break more often than the shafts might be worth thinking about them as well Have plenty spare shafts....... with 500/500 and my sympethatic style I recon I am safe enough. main thing is the through shaft won't break again
arch Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I am to pikey to buy the uprated shafts so I just keep loads of spare standard R180 shafts lol. Only takes 10 mins to change one.

ciaranrb5 Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Okay finally a plan. Engine is coming out next month for a refresh, the PPG is getting built into an r180 DCCD Then I only have to Remove engine and box Install engine and swap drivetrain out for complete r180 Install the cage and door bars Install fuel set up Install firewall Install reversed inlet manifold and modify pipe work Install new turbo which will be SC46 Buy syvecs Get the cat MOT'd Get new rotors and pads for the AP's Install rear brembos Assist in the painting of the car (thankfully this is already paid for) in memory of the RB5 the car will be going steel blue (rb5 grey) Other thing I have to do is work to raise the money to pay for all this Will be looking to mount my fuel cell as low down as possible. Problem is the Anti roll bar is in the way. I was wondering is it possible to have custom anti roll bars Made?
subarucraig Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Once again good luck in getting it on road this year mate
