Wee Jock Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Without a doubt this was my best car MY96 JDM WRX V-Ltd, spent a fortune on this car and wish I never traded it in! I have had the following cars 1. Ford Escort 1600 sport Mk11 2. Ford Fiesta XR2 3. Renault 5GT Turbo 4. Renault Clio Sport 5. MY95 JDM WRX 6. MY96 JDM WRX V-Ltd 7. Ford Focus RS 8. MY57 WRX STi There has been a few more but nothing worth a mention. MY96 WRX V-Ltd
paul555sti Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I have owned various makes and models over the years but the one that makes me smile the most has to be the 555. I think the fact its a second car means that i enjoy it even more after driving the gutless mondeo.
bobbyc Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 (edited) That's a hard one had that many cars over the years being one of the old git's 80's did the Opel thing - Kadette 1.6 SR, then three manta GTE's 90's had a couple of suzuki swift GTI's for commuting from Falkirk to Faslane they went like stink, then BMW M3 & M5, Then came 1998 after waiting 10 long months took delivery of a new Impreza Turbo 2000 & the grin has never left there was a choice of colour "green or green" Worst has to be an Austin 1300 estate but we wont go there lol Fred Flintstone never had a look in Edited January 11, 2010 by bobbyc
lewisscoob Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Best so far has to be the '00 TypeRA, though my current T2000 will soon be surpassing it! My worst car so far was a '95 Rover 214 SLi in white with a walnut effect dash. I had it 6months and scrapped it. Also had a couple of golfs, a '00 V6 4Motion and a Revo remapped GT TDI with 176bhp and 300lb/ft.
hosstheboss Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 (edited) Well Being an even older git than bobbyc my much abbreviated list goes a little like this - 1970's - Mini Cooper S (insured as an 850!), MK1 Escort Mexico (wish i'd kept it) 1980's - Vauxhall Firenza Droop Snoot, Open Ascona Berlinetta (the choice of car in Peterhead at that time!), MK3 Cortina GT, 3 Litre Capri Ghia. 1990's - Capri 2ltr S, XR4i, 205 Gti 1.9 (loverly), Rover 216 (met the wife!!) 206 Diesel, Vectra GSi 2000's - Mini 1275, Skoda Octavia TDi (brilliant car), Mercedes 220D (dont ask), BMW 525D M Sport (great car but boring), Mondeo daily runner to and from work, Dodge Nitro 2.8 SXT - got to be one of the best value buys ever, and of course the RB320 - now what can i say, this will never be sold! Edited January 11, 2010 by hosstheboss
mystery machine Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Best driver, in almost every respect: Most reliable: Vectra SRi 150 - great dash, stereo & ergonomics too Prettiest: Calibra SE4 - pearlescent blue paintwork with cream leather interior Best value: MkII Astra 1.3L - had 165K miles on the clock when sold and never gave me any major grief Worst (in every department): Early '80s Nissan Sunny - spent more time in bits than it ever did on the road
martin_allen Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Hmmmm... Most fun - Mini 1275GT Best for pulling - Mitsubishi FTO Best all rounder - The Scooby Best memories - could be a number here but i think i have to say my XR3i it was the unloved Mk5 but it was very comfy, had nicely weighted sterrign when it was going, you never saw another one and it was in a loverly Cayman Blue metallic which looked green most of the time except under harsh flu lights (like at a petrol station) when it looked a deep blue. People used to comment on it, don't get that too ofetn with an Escort. 5t.
lewisscoob Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 sure footed, reliable and went like stink A porker up in Thurso, where the flock did you get it serviced?!

ton246 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 The best car i've had so far is the S3 that we have now. Followed very closely by the scoob.
colin_ross Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Really like those S3's. Just can't justify the price for the amount of miles I do.
