Smiler AS Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 (edited) Picked up a nice set of 2nd hand wheels today, 18" OZ Prodrive alloys, same as the P1's I believe. Just giving them a clean up tonight and a few coats of wax inside and out before trying them on. Hopefully get some pics up of the wheels on the car the morn. Edited October 4, 2009 by Smiler AS

Just been out with the 888's and my god, what a tyre, grip was just unreal! Must point out, it was a dry day Can see why its a track tyre though, noisy and picks up all the crap of the road, can see why with the very little grooves there are on them. Fine to have a shot of them and for another couple of weeks but I think Il put on my favorites soon, Vredesteins. Edited October 4, 2009 by Smiler AS
mystery machine Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Semis..... Slick rubber..... Nervous about getting moist..... .....thought I'd stumbled upon the wrong forum for a minute there Wheels suit the car very nicely - particularly with it being a wagon, I reckon

Apparently due to new noise regulations they will be stop manufacturing them soon. (If it's the Sessanta Ultracs) Unfortunately (I too am a big fan of these tyres) the replacement is a terrible looking thing!! Cheers Graham P.S. Your new rims look magic! (If it's the Sessanta Ultracs) Unfortunately (I too am a big fan of these tyres) the replacement is a terrible looking thing!! Already ordered, yep its the Sessantas (with the "funny" tread design), get them fitted this weekend if not sooner. £105 a corner, fitted, balanced etc. Are the replacements going under same name or to be renamed as a new tyre?
spot2 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I am led to believe that it is called the 'New' Ultrac Cento, do a wee 'google' image search and prepare to be underwhelmed........ (they got a top designer in for the Sessantas and yet the new ones look like you wouldn't use them for a kids swing!) Cheers Graham
