If for example fai put a big bodykit on his would it get flamed or be ok because it was him that put it on his car? Srry Peter i was just using you as an example.

Its cool Iain...i won't be putting a kit on my car anytime soon and in honesty i will be doing the reverse and taking some off!

Lightweight is the new kit

Yeh i understand what you mean Ian as in not to everyones liking, i just thought it came across quite harshly the way you put it.

anyways all is good ;)

Tend to agree.... i think it's the way you said it Iain . It did indeed came across a tad harsh :D

There's no need to come across as a bawbag :D ( that's me being a tad harsh now :D:thumbup: )

Well I like it ;) , I dont think it matters what colour it is or really what it looks like to be honest (I have always been more for performance than looks) but it is clearly no chav'd up Turbo 2000 with less than factory performance like what you would normally see on ebay.

I cant help but think that it is the love child of some dirty B road romp between a Scoob and an EVO though.

Very interesting post though I love seeing the progression of cars caught on camera

Cheers Iain

Tidy!

Well done to all involved in what looks to be a bit of a beast... If I'm honest, I dont like the lights, and I'm not sure about the bodykit... although, as I'm looking at it more, it really is growing on me... but thats just my opinion, and if we all liked the same thing then life would all be pretty boring... There is deffo ways and means of putting opinions accross though to be fair, there was no need to be that harsh about it, especially when there are so many more good things about this car that makes the bad points pretty insignificant...

I think that its awesome otherwise, thanks for sharing!

Well ladies and Gent's thanks very much for all the comments possitive and negative, its been a long 2 years building the car as evey one is aware the ups and downs is unbelievable just when you think it's all right, it all goes all wrong then back to the drawing board, the bodykit is not every ones cup of T and i was a bit wary when i bought it and again the preperation that went into fitting the car was 100 + hours to get all fitting correctly not an easy job and i dont think the bodyshop will do another one after that lol a thanks to Stevie Walker in Bathgate Bodyshop fantastic job. Pics sometimes dont do justice to peoples car only when you see things in the flesh your judgement changes it did when i seen the car in a nut shell i LOVE it.. and a few folk did have a reserve jugdement again each to our own i didnt build the car for any one else lol

Also the quality of SW work is outstanding and is always there to help out thanks.. ;)

Andy F mapping exellent enough said... :D

Roll on 2010 for its new mods i mean i mean tweeks there is 10 seconds to be had here and there is a few build that has it just now just need the final tweeks to reach it you know who you are folks he he. DR Motorsport (Dave) will pop up for a chat and a peak at your project and a chin wag indeed..

All the best with the hunt for 10 seconds mate! I'll be watching intently. I think the car looks great, and unique. And as you said, you didn't build it for anyone else! So happy days.

I think you and your car are also proving to be a bit of an inspiration for quite a few people on here to get their fingers out and have a go and see what happens! The more pictures and coverage the better!

Cheers,

Mark

Hey Mark cheers for the comments unique is what im about, no point of us being the same now are they he he, im glad that some people are getting there finger out as there is so much you can do with thease cars now, i also do appreciate how expensive it is and for the average joe blogs to reach big power requires a few bob... saving have took a hammering I've had to sacrafise a holiday last year, sick of the sun working in it most of the year so was happy the wife wasnt tho..oops ...

To be honest you need people to mod to big power or we would find out what works and what doesn't I take my hat of to many members in SIDC for the attemps to do diffrent things as this is how we all learn so we dont make the same mistakes..and the advise on the site is brilliant..

And hope i get the 10sec 1/4 mile that would put the icing on the cake for me. Just need a decent Driver to achieve this lol :)

Cheers

Chris

I know there is a bit of a mixed reaction to WL's styling, but after seeing it in the flesh at the Central/Lothians meet tonight, trust me when i say it 'needs' the wide arched bodykit to pull of the overall presence this beast has! It is simply awesome looking close up,and the engineering SW has done is a work of art.The sound of this thing is enough to make a grown man go weak at the knees, when it pulled away, there was screaming and whining then a big whoosh,bang,pop!!!..........and that was just in my pants!

p.s nice to meet you Chris :o
