damienp1 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 What time are people hoping to head up for?Was going to head off about 8.00am from Hillington. Robert I'll text Chris now mate and tell him to post up a meeting venue and also a time so we can convoy to crail....................and then all those who want to join the convoy can and if not then at least people will know what time we're going for.
colin_ross Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Weather is not looking good for Sunday. I remember a wet day at crail and it was not fun. I had wheelspin in 4th and an indicated 100 mph and still hadn't reached the 60ft line. One of the more memorable races saw me an wilky go head to head with an epic 18 second battle. From about the half way line we were totally blind as the wipers started to lift. I had to look out of the side window to see where the finish line was. Slowing down was even scarier that speeding up. The car had standard tyres on then but with 888's on now it would be madness to attempt a run under similar conditions. Fingers crossed the forecast improves.

I sat on the line, all 4 wheels spinning, you giggled your way down the strip after screwing the nut. Cheers straight bloke! Callum ;-)

damienp1 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Hey chris............yeah we'll speak about it tomorrow mate but so you know my mate lives the other side of the edinburgh water so is only about 20 miles or so from crail............if you can tell me which road your going to be using on the way up I shall wait on the side of the road. The actual place where he lives is called kirkcaldy
colin_ross Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 For any crail first timers - I won't be speeding on the way there or on the way back. I've never been to crail and not seen a speed camera van. I think they must check what days it is on and camp out on the main roads.
stuarted Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 how are all the participants cars preparations going? Any niggles?
