hi folks,

i was recently approached by BBC ALBA's car program, ''air an rathad'' (on the road) to do a piece on my scoob. they first of all were offering a full respray at the Kenny Laird Body Styling workshop in Glasgow (for free). now they are wanting to make things more interesting, they are asking me if i want to put a body kit on it. is there any out there that wont make my classic scoob look like a chav mobile? i was thinking a p1 type spoiler and a roof scoop but i think they want more. maby wide arch? i dont know. anybody got any ideas? i really dont want to spoil the classics naturally stunning looks. ;)

how would your old scoob be on the program oobster?

I was under the impression you know the new owner - Gunn from up north - I just wondered if they were doing a feature on a few subarus or if it was just yours.

sorry oobster, forgot that. Na, they will not be featuring Gunn's scoob. its more a pimp my ride type of feature than a scoob feature. it prob wont go ahead when i tell them i dont want to put a kit on it,i havnt seen any kits i like, the classic shape is much nicer as standard.

i dont really want to change the colour either, but they might be able to twist my arm and get me to go for rb5 grey.

theres a few decent kits out there for the classics, chargespeed do a few which dont look too in your face, but if you like that kinda thing then the veilside kit is the one to go for. theres a massive amount out there so if it was me i definetily would be going for this, n as for kenny laird, yes he does alot of show car corsas etc but his work is always to a high standard and very well applied from what ive seen.

Oh dear, that is awfull. If you stick with what you said in your first post you should be ok. The 22B kit from HT Autos is very nice.

Gotta agree with z1000. That kit is a bit too much for a scoob. Im not a big fan of scoobs with body kits but the 22B really does it for me.
