jonboywrx Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 The second link you put up the one for 7500 looks lovely!
rallyfever Posted May 14, 2009 Author Posted May 14, 2009 It seems a nice enough motor TBH. Lights easily changed as you say if they're not you're cup of tea. There are quite a few for sale on the P1woc if it's definitely a P1 you're looking for. Theres one with a 2.5 done by Scoobyclinic and a full respray. Guy spent 15-16K on the work and he's asking what it should be sold for, someone has told him £11 dropping to £10k. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1038492.htm. A lot of kit for the money if he did sell at the £10K and no need to worry about a rebuild. Not a fan of the big scoop but easily removed. theres this one for £7500 too http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1021625.htm Decisions decisions DanTerzo - no idea why they never came with a plaque when most of the other limited runs did. The group buys pop up every now and again so keep your eye on the P1 forum Stuart Hi Fella, Both look good, I do like the first one and have contacted him regarding price, and also if he has the standard scoop and vents - I agree with you than they are not the best looking as they are. Not 100% sure if it will be a P1, just a thought, the shortlist is a P1, Type R or RA. Cheers Gary
jonboywrx Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 Theres a nice type r Gary which someone was asking about, link http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1018864.htm Not bad price but would have to change the lights!!
dan_jess Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 It would appear that my sarcasm didnt come across very well written down haha. Glad someone went to the trouble of putting it in

sma01 Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 the p1 at 7500 looks a nice car, u may find that the wheels rub though, strange as it may seem since they are the same style as the anthracite or gold 1s u get for a p1, but my mate put the same 1s on his and had problems with them rubbing, just a wee thing to check if u did look at that car.... scott
rallyfever Posted May 16, 2009 Author Posted May 16, 2009 the p1 at 7500 looks a nice car, u may find that the wheels rub though, strange as it may seem since they are the same style as the anthracite or gold 1s u get for a p1, but my mate put the same 1s on his and had problems with them rubbing, just a wee thing to check if u did look at that car....scott I had that trouble with an old classic I had a few years ago Scott when I put 3-way proflex on it, great suspension, but the thicker units did havoc with finding wheels to fit. In the end I had to fit massive spacers - then the wheels rubbed in the wings, gave up after that and put the old wheels back on!!! Been looking at this one guys, whats your thoughts??? The wording on the add is; This car was built for serious competition use, however, circumstances have now changed and therefore the car is now for sale! oobster Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Didn't you just sell a blue blobeye recently? If so, I don't see the point in going back to another one! Go for a P1 - the one in the For Sale section looks a beauty.
scooby222 Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 id be tempted to stick with the p1 i think, its the scoob i regret not buying before i went newage lol also bit nervous about the fact that the guys done all that to a wrx not an sti
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 No brainer for me ....................you'll always hanker for a classic BUT when that Sti has 430 bhp and serious money spent on it then I'd go for that anyday Do you want to look @ it or drive it fast ? CGS
sparky_sj04 Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I like the Blobeye. It looks absolutely mental from the front!!

Hi Fella, Yes I did, but only as we had 3 cars and thought it best to get rid of 1, my company car is going back soon and need to find something to run around in. Cheers Gary

Rednosespeccltd Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Thats a wrx mate, the seats give it away and no STi badges of course, and the fact that he is advertising it as adding all the STi stuff. a lot of power though i would want a STi minimun. Mac
