4Hero Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) What an action packed day, very entertaining (for the spectators ) View as a slideshow if you like. I had the wrong camera in my hand when this golf lost it Going to start wearing a crash helmet (or hard-hat) down at duffas though, got whacked on the head with a flying stone from this Can anyone on SIDC own up to owning this disgrace? It's like something out of mad max And ScoobySounds before his gearbox went pop Enjoy, Neil. Edited April 19, 2009 by 4hero
craigdmcd Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 The wagon looks like it has had a Legacy single turbo engine fitted (the chargecooler is a dead giveaway). The only thing worthwhile on it is the wheels.
ScoobySounds Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 this shots amazing! cheers for that one of me, like it! That guy in the black shed was driving like he was from mad max too.
thewelsho Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) Note to self: Do not EVER, EVER attempt to take your car on track on Speed-Sunday! That's utter carnage man. Quality pics man Edited April 19, 2009 by TheWelsho

RA Dunk Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Dont really like some of the driving skills there same here, which is why i keep away from the speed sunday things, just a pity knockhill are not a bit stricter with the flucwit fraternity who spoil these things
Guest CRAIG D Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 same here, which is why i keep away from the speed sunday things, just a pity knockhill are not a bit stricter with the flucwit fraternity who spoil these things Totally agree Did a speed sunday many many years ago and the people that go there dont give a toss and arnt really that interested in what happens to there car. Shame when are driving a 5-6k car. Each too there own i suppose. People may say am a tad over confident but i do it when i know its safe
4Hero Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) Cheers folks Derek, I spotted that in the photo and wasn't entirely sure what was going on with the tyre, thanks! G.T. I'll take a look tomorrow night, off to my kip, knackered (sun stroke me thinks after the weather today ) It was mayhem out there, great for people like me taking photos mind you! AdamFraser Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Neil, do you have any pictures of a blue Porsche GT3? R** M*N?
RA Dunk Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Neil, do you have any pictures of a blue Porsche GT3? R** M*N? lol you took a bloody porsche on track with those idiots? you have big balls my friend, the standard of driving looks to be slightly lacking going by those pics (either big balls or a big bank balance lol)
AdamFraser Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Haha, wish it was me! Just servicing and looking after the car for a good friend. But we did leave early, wasnt impressed. Stick to Hot Marques nights I think!
RA Dunk Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Haha, wish it was me! Just servicing and looking after the car for a good friend. But we did leave early, wasnt impressed. Stick to Hot Marques nights I think! yup, the SIDC days are well run too, no fluckwits allowed!
AdamFraser Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 yup, the SIDC days are well run too, no fluckwits allowed! Why they didnt split it into groups, such as Porsche, Lambo, the quick Evos then leading down to the corsas, I do not know. Would have made more sense anyway.
st3ph3n Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Cracking as per usual Neil. The red swift shot is amazing.
sti_steve Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Nice pics! The scooby wagon was shocking. I heard a guy saying he was going to get black flagged, I don't know weather he did? I've got a few pics but to embarressed to load them up with the standard that is set! Nice work 4hero
thefastone Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Great shots Neil, I really do agree that its great for the paparazzi, and no end of the action by the looks of things, but Chirst, the driving, Looks more like scrapyard/stock car racing! I'm surprised that some of those cars were allowed on the track in the first place!!!! I have to say that Golf is some awesome shots too, that was the first thing that I thought too, that the tyre was shedding...
4Hero Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 (edited) SIDC trackdays are boring compared to Speed Sunday (well, for the togs anyway ) Stephen, the swift was shot at 1/60th sec (hand held), great results with the slow shutter speed! Adam, got a couple, nothing exciting though. Here's a few more shots. You rarely see these at SIDC trackdays Anyone from SIDC? The GT3 (clicky for the originals Adam) G.T. a couple more of the yellow scooby (clicky for originals) And a couple of other random shots. This thing was very very twitchy, looked like a lot of fun though! Clicky for slideshow! Cheers, Neil. Edited April 20, 2009 by 4hero
frank c Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 I think the red swift is steve whitsons son?? \could be wrong tho Nope...
AdamFraser Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Thanks for the photos Neil, it is much appreciated. Porsvhe is lovely, got the Porsche racing coilovers, engine is slightly modified, just back from Manthey Racing where it had a Plasma coated Dill fitted (5k!) and gearing adjusted. He was hitting just under 140mph by the end of the straight.
colzo Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Great photos. I can't understand how anyone would take a decent car on the track with all the trash and numpties out there.
