big den
Yo Not sure if it's a classic or newage you have but anyway, have a look on this site: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/rear_brake_rotors-t477.html We changed both the front & rear discs & pads on my sons classic & it was a straight forward enough job - even cleaned & painted the calipers at the same time Den Link to comment

jonboywrx
Hey 5t, im not sure about anewage but i removed my disks and pads other day on my classic and was a easy job! Just two bolts on rear of caliper to take the caliper off then you can remove disk (take handbrake off). Theres just one bolt on caliper to undo to remove the pads. I found the rear disks needed a bit of persuasion as bit stuck on the hup but the fronts came off no probs! Mind this was on my classic so not sure about newage tho pal have fun jonboy Link to comment
notsosmall
The pads are a doodle to do not taken the disks off my self yet but cant see it being anything different from the info all ready on this post, also here is a little tip i found if the disks dont come off the hub too easily If like me when replacing the brake discs they were stuck on the hubs I found that one of the bonnet hook bolts came in very helpful . Simply remove one of the bolts marked 8 from the bonnet hook and carefully use it to screw into the brake disc hole that pushes it off the hub. Worked a treat for me. Hope this helps Link to comment
euan_r
pretty straight forward. you will have to remove rubber gromit on backplate and wind hand brake adjuster all the way slack before removing discs. dont under any circumstances use brute force or wind bolts into disc as you will just **** up yer handbrake shoes $ springs etc. once new brakes are on bleed and wheel back on before lowering car wind up adjuster till wheel binds then slacken off a notch or two till wheel is free to rotate. martin_allen
Guys, first chance i've had to pick this up. Been mad at work. If i say 'DBS' that should be a clue... Anyway, sounds like they aren't wind in pistons which is what i was worried about so that's grand! Now just need some decent brakes for the right money..... heh. 5t. Link to comment
