just had search with google most saying good lifespan, but it wasnt on the impreza, what size did you get and how much did you pay?

I've had about 15k out of each pair of F1's I've fitted to the wife's WRX but it has PFF7's with 225/40R18's. I'm now on the newer asymetric pattern, he GSD3 is the old arrow style pattern. Can't say I've ever had cause to complain about Goodyear's, I really rate them.

sounds a bit suspect.... i had them on my beemer and they would easily last 18 months and that was with some 'spirited' driving on a regular basis. When the scooby needs new tyres they'll be near the top of my list.

that sounds reasonable to me, the guy reccomended avon tyres insted at £85 each, lol. i have been quated £317 for four 205/50 r16 87w there was 87y aswell for around £50 more but the 87w should be fine thats speed rating of 167mph,the car only does 150 or there abouts.

I just wait till they are half worn on the front and then swap corner to corner and mine have done 7k so far

and still have 6mm all round left

I got 13k outta mine. Had I not been such a lazy git and had them rotated might have got a bit longer. At £100 per corner I'm going for a cheaper option.

I just got eagle f1 asymmetric with the intention of changing the fronts only when worn.

These tyres have amazing grip, if i get 10k from the fronts and 20k from the back i will be happy.

Gaz, think you're from same sort of area as me.. did you give Hectyre a shot at quoting, they've supplied me with 5 or 6 sets of Eagle F1 tyres and have consistently been the best price.

Their number is: (01382) 456660.

Depends on the kind of driving you do in the car to be honest, if its commuting and fun then I'd say c1k from fronts and if its purely fun car then you'll maybe see 7k out of them. However, that'll be one of (if not) the best tyres you will use, so much confidence wet or dry.

Cheers,

Grant

15K out of fronts, 20+ out of rears for me.

If you're paying £100 a corner you're paying too much.

Actually, with the recession and the pound being very weak against the Euro, then a lot of tyre prices have increased 15-20%, so dependant on size £100 could be very cheap. I know I don't even buy 225/40R18 F1 Assymetrics for £100 including VAT, so if someone finds them fitted for that, let us all know.

That's a good price. I did hear something about there being some Goodyear's in the country a while back that weren't ECE approved. I think the proper ones are made in Germany and China, the dodgy ones are made in Taiwan or Indonesia or somewhere like that, so just check the markings on the sidewall.

Aha! Its the sizes! I'm 225/40/18 and yeah it was tyres traderS :brickwall: I'm going to go with them for Khumo Ectsas (712). Don't do a mobile fitting in my area! I guess coming into Castlemilk is something of a risk for the fitter and danger money is not good enough for the risk to staff and vehichle alike... Ha! Ach well, 30 notes cheaper to go to a fitter, cannie complain!
