  1. Cracking road drive it when I'm going fishing to Loch Awe I take the road on the right in Inveraray it's also a good road and much quieter than taking the other way round to the loch. Here's a link to a vid I found on youtube see how many roads you recognize.
  2. OK sounds good, cars running at 280BHP and I would like to keep it that way without the motorway cabin drone. I work in Hillington so it's not far from me.
  3. Which exhaust do you have fitted? I have a cobra on my WRX and it's great on A and B class roads but it can be a pain on the motorway as the cabin drone is at it's worst at 70-75MPH in 5th to the point I would not have the kid sit in the back should I decide on a day trip over 50 miles. Also with the resonator fitted did it need a remap?
  4. Admiral quoted me £890 this year, think I payed just under £600 last year. Did the usual online quotes and phoned Sky (£720) ended up paying ~£650 + £25 legal cover from Performance Direct. I was not happy having to state an insurance claim where I was not at fault and the 3rd party paid out, can't help but think this put a bit on the price. PS got quotes of up to £70 less by changing my job title.
  5. Don't know the road myself but if they are going to impose a speed limit other than the 'default' then there has to be reminder signs ever 500m or so or they can't enforce it, so there will need to be lamp posts or other areas to put them or they will have to put up new posts.
  6. Sorry, it's already been suggested...I just scrolled to the bottom of the thread
  7. Hi there, If you are going to register a domain name I suggest you make it as spammy as possible with relation to the most relevent searched 'key words' on google. Something like www.centralheating-repairservice-lothian.co.uk Sign up with google webmaster tools, click adwords (at the top left) then from the 4th dropdown menu select keyword tool and type in what relates to your severvices and it will tell you the highest count keywords. Make a site name which encludes the top (relevent) key words.
  8. If it's the same place that i'm thinking of they moved to Old Kilpatrick http://www.scottishsubarus.co.uk/
  9. My Hawkeye started showing corrosion on the roof in under 3 years, it's a Euro import without the bodywork service so Subaru UK won't fix it. It's also had an engine part replaced (under warranty), also the front diff broke months 3 years and 2 months after it's reg date so I had to pay for that, it started to whine 2 weeks after it's 3 year service.
  10. Subaru have been supplying reliable cars to the UK for ages, all of a sudden they have engine failure's... so that will be the drivers fault!
  11. I hope you are correct, i got flashed 4 weeks ago yesterday doing 76 in a temp 50 zone going north after J44 on the M6.
  12. Just filled up with V power in Hillington Glasgow @ 122.9p l
  13. If you are going down the windows 7 route and only need a small HD and have the cash you might want to consider a fast solid state drive which supports TRIM (like the Corsair Nova 64GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive @ £154.99 on overclockers). I know its a lot of money for such a small drive but the performance increase is amazing, i use a 128gb SSD every day for graphics work and could never go back to a mechanical drive, opening an image in photoshop in seconds including the actual loading of photoshop and a spreadsheet in open office in under a second including the actual loading of open office saves me loads of time. It took me just under 14 mins to install windows 7 64bit on this machine (i7 quad + 6gb ram).
  14. I read that they want to put at least 5% on spirits every year for 4 years and raise VAT to 20%! Here's what the Torygraph had to say about it Torygraph budget 2010 I will sign the fuel duty petition but it wont make any difference.
  15. Can anyone recommend a garage in Paisley / Glasgow, i will be needing my 3 year 30000 service in April.
  16. I would complain, if theres a reason for it then fair enough. If you don't then they will continue to use these reserved bays and if they are willing to do it at the hospital then they are doing it else where and will continue to do so. Even if they just get a slap on the wrist i bet they will think twice about doing it again.
  17. i think you can say goodbye to the pics, but try recuva (it's free) and filescavenger i have recovered files from formatted and broken drives with this.
  18. recuva Oh and use it ASAP windows swap file is stamping all over the hard drive (if deleted files and swap file are on the same drive) Also filescavenger & GetDataBack They all do the same thing so option 1 should be as good as any.
  19. On the version im using (ver 5 on a mac). Go to the drop menu 'bookmarks', select 'organise bookmarks' then hover over the 3rd icon to the right and there is a menu to backup & restore bookmarks. Hope this helps.
  20. I though i was about to read a thread about putting bags over speed camera's
  21. These really wind me up! Who's gonna be first to sue the council due to back pain caused by speed bumps? Must be a nightmare for people with back problems/injury, OAP's etc.
  22. It's because they are wee fannies and cant bear to see someone with something they want.
  23. Drivers who keep thier foot on the brake pedal when sitting at traffic lights at night killing my eyes!
