col666 Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I've just noticed this while out shopping- I have been offshore for the past 2 weeks and got back yesterday afternoon, I had the car parked in a hotel car park in Dyce which I have used for over a year with no problems. The car park isnt the safest in the world but I had a quick look round the car when I picked it up but didnt see any damage but the n/s wing was the only place I never really inspected! It looks pretty fresh as theres only a tiny amount of surface rust but no other marks, i.e. footprints of scratches. Luckily the bonnet is undamaged. It was parked at the end of a row of spaces with the damaged side out in the open, I've called the hotel but they were useless. So, where's the best place to get it sorted?? An unhappy Col.
marky.t.s Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 ouch! thats pretty high up,it must have been a truck or pick-up to do that mate.
col666 Posted December 23, 2008 Author Posted December 23, 2008 Its a strange place to have a dent, it looks like something pretty heavy has dropped on it rather than been another vehicle. Dont really want to go through insurance although my no claims is proctected, apart from the stealers where coud I purchase a genuine front wing?
UK300_loon Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 ouchy, rotten timing just before Xmas. Try Ian Ross in Luncarty (just outside Perth 1st turning off the A9 as you head North from the Inveralmond roundabout). If you can speak to Ian himself, let him know you're looking for a top job. He's pretty good price wise too.
RA Dunk Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 I had the car parked in a hotel car park in Dyce which I have used for over a year with no problems. tut tut col, you shouldent be leaving your car in car parks when your offshore dude, i leave mine at aberdeen airpark, only costs £2.50 a day with 24 hour security, i just pay for it get a receipt and bill it into my company as travel expenses, even if your company dosent pay it 2.50 a day is feck all if you cars locked up away from joe public

The guy that owns the building he works from is a bit funny about folks just rolling up (he's currently looking for new premises with a more amiable landlord!).
