sti pretender Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Better not mention the Subaru word for a while if I know whats good for me better get some extra xmas treats to keep her sweet But some new stopping power could be on the horizon for 2009 Just remind Alex not to phone the house when your parts arrive. Good figures.
Smiler AS Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Thinking of doing the next stage aswell to my 2.5 WRX, did Hypertech source the bits for you too ie. intercooler and turbo as well as fit them, have got a few bits on already ie. decat and plugs.
bobbyc Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 (edited) Thinking of doing the next stage aswell to my 2.5 WRX, did Hypertech source the bits for you too ie. intercooler and turbo as well as fit them, have got a few bits on already ie. decat and plugs. As the car is not a year old yet mainly went for new parts from trusted sources, Dunc keeps the run of the mill things in stock ie filters, plugs, pumps etc as for the turbo I've seen some abvertised at lower prices but they are not what they say they are, so stuck with Andy F the main man. VF 34 Turbo - Andy F £625 new Version 10 JDM STI TMIC - Power Supply £300 new Zerosports Undertray & rubber seal - Power supply £140 new Air circulation resonator delete elbow - Jap performance parts £20 used Green Panel air filter - Hypertech Walbro 255ltr/hr Fuel pump - Hypertech EVO Plugs NGK ILFR7H - Hypertech Prodrive Sports Cat Exhaust - GRD Racing £300 used 4000 mls Ecutek custom remap - £550 Andy f Only additional cost is Labour for fitting & the dreaded VAT rip off Edited November 25, 2008 by bobbyc
Smiler AS Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 (edited) Yep, that looks like good prices (especially the TMIC - cant find it on their website though - was it a one off?) Might pushing it to ask the missus for the stuff as xmas pressies though! Was the VF34 turbo ported and polished or left as std? I have had yes and no answers to this question by others. Sorry for all the questions, I had a remap done on my TD04 earlier this year, but now ive sorted out the handling and braking, want more!!! Edited November 25, 2008 by Smiler AS
