Taken from todays West Lothian Courier (28th August) Page 35

"Pathfoot Limited"

"Notice is hereby given that on the 12th August 2008 a petition was presented to the Sheriff at Linlithgow Sheriff Court by Pathfoot Limited, Suite 3, Ochil House, Owen Square, Livingston, West Lothian craving the court inter alia that the said Pathfoot Limited be wound up by the court and that an Interim Liquidator be appointed."

There is more to this with legal detail, but sadly this is the main part of the notice in todays newspaper.

Pathfoot Limited are the publishers for Total Impreza, Total Evo and Total Nissan magazines. I don't know were they go from here or what will happen to the magazine, but it looks like bad news.

My boss went down to see them today as we are in magazine publishing too...shame they went under but it's a really tight market atm.

I have a copy of the total impreza/evo and nissan mags in the office and I think altho they look great, too much money was spent on their production (IMHO) the stock is pretty heavy for a magazine and the covers were pretty thick too - I know people on this site worked on it and I don't want to criticise anyones work - just from a professional magazine production point of view I wondered how long it could last (going by the volume of ads against likely cost of production)

One of the sales women from there started with us a few weeks back too. It's very hard times for publishing...hence my Scoob probably going soon :D

Felt a bit sorry for them until I checked my renewal.

I actually phoned them and they accepted a renewal subscription off me on the 15th - 3 days after that petition was lodged.

Methinks it's time to go back to the credit card company & claim my money back off them for undelivered goods?

I've got an email with "Receipt for Your Payment to Pathfoot Limited" dated the 5th of August. I sat for ages considering whether I was going to renew or not and I thought "£16, 4 mags, aye it'll be worth it".

Now it's £16 for a tin of sweet FA.

Baws!

Guess I'm lucky then... the renewal came in and I thought I'd maybe just buy it in the shop (seeing as I was under the impression that they were going to be available in the shops now, not just sub only). Hope in a way that it's not an additional reason for them going under, if a lot of people thought the same as me then they'd have less capital to play with to actually get it published in the first place.

I am locking this thread until I speak to them tomorrow and clarify but the magazine is now being produced by Almond Publishing Limited.

Indeed they are sponsoring the rear of the clubs New Exhibition Trailer

Thread re opened Stuart will be posting shortly :icon_salut:

Folks,

Stuart Bell here from Total Impreza with a quick response to the above thread.

Total Impreza Autumn 08 issue will publish as usual this coming Monday (1st Sept).

The magazine is better than ever and is on sale in over 1800 newsagents accross the UK and Ireland.

Subscribers have been sent letters yesterday detailing a few changes to the company (plus some exciting news which we won't tell you about just now  ) so there is nothing to worry about.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to call the office between 9-5 and we can answer any questions. Please call the usual number, 01506 466400 and ask for Lesley as I am having a day in the pub!:luxhello:

If people want to know where their nearest newsagents are please email outlets@totalcarmagazines.co.uk with your postcode and we will send you a list.

Also, I would like to remind people that they can suggest articles or features by emailing me on impreza@totalcarmagazines.co.uk

Finally, if Dr Motorsport could please call the office that would be appreciated, we've tried calling but we can't get an answer - please speak to Lesley :crying:

Cheers

Stuart
