kloon Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Got me some Prodrive springs fitted today, no longer looks like she's sitting on stilts ! Big thanks to Kev @ T & C. Before: After:
RA Dunk Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 not being funny here ari (honestly im not lol) but i canny see much of a difference
thewelsho Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 not being funny here ari (honestly im not lol) but i canny see much of a difference That's why I don't like Prodrive springs, becasue they dont drop the car nearly enough. That said thoughm there is a difference and it looks cool. Most of the difference will be in the handling as opposed to the look.
RA Dunk Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 dont think the second pic is doing it justice TBH
stubaroo Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Looking good. How does the car handle now? Did you do any other suspension bits or just the springs?
kloon Posted August 23, 2008 Author Posted August 23, 2008 not being funny here ari (honestly im not lol) but i canny see much of a difference Haha, knew someone would say that Dunk as I keep looking at both pics myself to spot the difference, I guess the main one being the gaps at the front and the rear are now the same, before it looked like the front of the car was jacked up ! The 2nd pic was taken just after the springs were fitted, they have settled a bit since then and will do so a wee bit more in the coming weeks. Main difference is in the handling though, like night and day now, feels much more planted. Stubaroo just springs at the mo, will be looking into some other suspension mods in the future maybe though i'm happy with the way it is at the moment. Next up is the front of the car, lip spoiler, fog light covers and de-tango in the pipeline. Also toying with the idea of anodised red mesh for the grills to keep the black and red theme going, not sure that might just be a tad OTT though !
RA Dunk Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 deffo notice the difference on the front but cant see anything different aboot the back, like you say might take a wee bit of time to settle
scoobysailor Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Looking good mate, I have Prodrive springs fitted as well and love the way it handles (with my Whiteline goodies).
scientific steve Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 AAAWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I have to say that this is not exactly what I was hoping for. But then again, it is a family forum Looking sweet lad, am liking the black and red combo

boris b Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 not being funny here ari (honestly im not lol) but i canny see much of a difference Thank f i'm not the only one.... Like the black with red stripes on the wheels..
nkwrx Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 not being funny here ari (honestly im not lol) but i canny see much of a difference Thought the same when I got mine done, give it a couple of weeks and it'll be more noticeable to look at. Welsho, it's not like you to want it more extreme
thewelsho Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Welsho, it's not like you to want it more extreme LOL! I told the wife that I have a feeling a bigger turbo might come up for sale on the site soon - I soooo WANT 400bhp! LOL!

kloon Posted August 24, 2008 Author Posted August 24, 2008 This one I took this afternoon, can see the springs have settled a wee bit since yesterday. Colzo that's technical stuff mate !! I know there was Prodrive geometry settings came with the springs though Kev did say he didn't set them exactly as stated as they may be too harsh regarding tyre wear. It all goes right over my head

It all goes right over my head Done the right thing as the PD settings can be harsh on the inner tread, best to go with Fast Road.
