Gb270 - Front Splitter

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Looking for a but of help:

My sister has a GB270 and has just damaged the front splitter! Doesn't know how it happenned.....aye right!

Anyway, the stealers want about £300 for a replacement splitter

I suggested that she just leaves it off, because more than likely it'll get damaged again, but it's her car, so she's going to fit a new one.

Surely there's somewhere cheaper than Subaru for the splitter.

Any help would be appreciated.

She should've bought a classic...... IMHO of course!

your original suggestion is best, leave it off. Scott Lowe do one for £160. could also try Revolution.

DO avoid a stealer replacement. Also, is there no way it can be repaired?

HT Autos my friend - £118 kaaching

Agree with the eBay/HT Auto's suggestion.. Good quality splitter, very similar designs to the prodrive ones and a strong thing it is too.. Ran over mine and repaired it.. Recently whacked a deer and it's cracked but will be easily repaired again with some fibreglass kit from halfu'ds. It can take a fair clout I tell ya.

As for leaving it off.. No way, not on the hawkeyes' Look far better with it on IMHO Especially the GB270/RB320's it was designed to have one!... Just take note of high kerbs in parking areas!! and possibly ramps on multi story car parks...

Yeah, I agree with that, it does look braw on the Hawkeye and for £118 it might be worth another dip into front-splitter joy. I wonder if it will fit the same holes as the previous one :rotfl:

John,

If the fitment is as good as mine then you'll have no worries :rotfl:

HT Autos are a cracking company to deal with. The splitter is

plastic so none of that 'shatter into a million bits as soon as ye

hit a fag paper' malarky !! :rotfl:

Go on get the wallet oot.

Have to say, I had the Revolution one... and it shattered when I pinged into a hidden dip @ 15-20mph. I've now got an HT Autos plastic one and its had a very brief encounter with a kerb but there are NO marks on it at all, must have just taken the stress. I found that the mountings were identical between Revolution Splitter and HT Autos Splitter.

Cheers,

Grant

busted mine a while back, got it sorted a few weeks ago, guess wot? busted it again B)

the Jun ones seem to give up as soon as they see something comming towards them, thinking about a carbon fiber one now, that should put up a bit more of a fight :)
