emoe Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Oh, forgot to say that your going to get the tracker problem with any company owned by RBS... with covers those 3 and a few more...(Direct line, Churchill, Tesco, (and Privilege I think...) few others...) My insurance is with Churchill, they never asked me for a tracker and i queried it, they said its not necessary for the insurance, Plus they give me a geat discount for having both cars on the policy.

RA Dunk Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 im paying 400 for my UK turbo and 450 for my RA its the STI as well both cars through Keith Michaels
Guest Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) grant you should be able to get a decent quote i was quoted 900 for a V6 type-r a year ago from greenlight. The VR6 insurance is due May 1st and can't get it for less than 500 and it was 306 last year and i now have 4 years no claims and am 25 how do they work that out Also my mate used to have a traders policy think he was about 900-1000 and was covered for up to 10 cars. each car was only to be up to the value 50k and he had to phone them and give them the number plate of each car on the policy. At the time he was 23 and had an evo7 a GTO twin turbo a convertable old mini and a 2.2 prelude so definatly saved him a few quid. I will find out the name of the company for ya later on. thefastone Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Have you not tried to go to a lot of these places that guarantee will beat your renewal quote Ciaran...? That's a hell of a jump...
Guest Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 not got the renewal through yet just had a look at several places for an idea on prices as my insurance will run out while im offshore so wanted it sorted before i go away as i will need to be able to drive home when i get back from offshore.

Had heard (possibly on this forum) that in the event of a claim that some traders insurance will request to see your books for the last so many years... doesn't pay out if you aren't actually a trader IYKWIM. Might be worth definitely checking on that kind of point if anyone was considering a traders policy... would hate to think of someone saving a couple of hundred quid and then losing a good few grand 'cos the ins co won't pay out.
marky.t.s Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 renewed my policy today with Gary@ KM........below 500 quid for the first time ever
mic Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Just cos your an old fart John I'm 23 mate, with zero personally driving bonuses, company car for 2years now tho
