"Bolted a second seat into the car tonight to take Craig out for a Wee Hurl, I was conscious he'd spent a lot of time and effort on something that till tonight had been an inanimate object, not what a car is supposed to be, I think he sees it a little differently now "

.........ahem,...there's spirited driving......and there's "your a f'*cking maniac!" :D

did you enjoy the wee hurl in the car then craig?

nice meeting you and apologies for classing you as a panel beater ;)

You Bobbing about or on Dry Land ?

Bobbing about on the same FPSO I was on last time (Floating Production, Storage, Offloading)

I only got home on Wednesday evening, boss phoned first thing Monday morning in a mad panic needing 4 guys to come back out on the Tuesday, hopefully only here for a week though. Mrs wasn't best pleased!

Bummer Kenny.

Spent a little time on the car today, fitted an Uber Bright LED to the top of the dash on a 1.8 bar Oil pressure switch. The theory is there is no way I couldn't see it if things are starting to go Pete Tong and whilst engine would already be gubbed, it might just be re-buildable, rather than scrap.

Going to spend tomorrow getting a few miles on it and do a bit of Suspension Testing.

"did you enjoy the wee hurl in the car then craig?"

It's quite an experience,a full on sonic attack to your senses. The noise from the screamer pipe at the front of the car coupled with the roar from the back while at exactly the same time being pinned to the seat while being propelled very very very quickly is ballistic............then there's the attack, nae full on assault of the corners..........exhilarating,manic, and unforgetable. So the short answer is yes.

And might i also add that's a very nice example you've built yourself, stunning.

Alford was excellent, well done JohnS and the rest of the team

Really worthwhile time for me as I've had no time to address the setup of the car so I had the car at ProGrip on Wednesday to setup the geometry, fantastic job from John as usual.

At Alford we spent the day playing with the Diff controller and roll bars to try to fine tune the work done at ProGrip, so JohnS's shouts of, slower and Faster were indeed useful Data  The culmination of which was we started the day in 63secs and finished in on 61secs. Thats a healthy gain  if I'd found 1/2 a second I'd have been happy !!!

The car is still running a really safe idiot proof map ( I think the idiot might be me, by implication :o ), Andy is doing the business sorting that out Wednesday afternoon .

We are back at Alford this weekend for a round of the Scottish so hopefully the weather will be really Sh!t and turn all that dust on the track into Muck that will favour a 4wd saloon car ;):rotfl::P

Cheers Dale, shame I was trying to set the car up or a bit of Hooliganism on track would have been fun

Car is off to AFP tomorrow to sort the mapping so watch this space ;)

Spent yesterday afternoon with the ForrestMeister. B)

Car is now fully up to speed mapping wise with an, erm, 'enhanced' Boost profile

It's obviously hard to tell during the process of mapping ( Especially with the not un-substantial extra weight in Pass seat :driving: ) but by Feck it feels rapid now :D Very pleased.

mmm a bit shy are we l :( lol cracking motor anyways ,,,,

Chris

Not Shy  Just Prudent, the car is used in competition, why would I reveal such a fact ?

Most people that know the car know what Turbo is in there so it's not 'Rocket' science to guess a number. It's about having the right package for the application.

I could put a larger turbo on and extract more power, but I'd bet money the car would be slower 'end to end' where it will see most of it's use.

In the future I think each specific application will see an appropriate Turbo setup

:D john :rotfl:
