superstar_tradesman Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 What figures did everyone make? I made 254.1 bhp @ the flywheel not bad for a standard car me thinks.
des_curran Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 What figures did everyone make? I made 254.1 bhp @ the flywheel not bad for a standard car me thinks. I got 340.2bhp, for some reason it would not make boost on the rollers only reaching 1.1 bar
G.Mac Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 199.4bhp, canny remember the torque, car totaly standard with a dirty air filter, oh yea the car is 20yrs old and according to the book had 220bhp from the factory, well chuffed (what did Terzo Neil make ) Graeme
craig_harey Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Mine made 322.2 at fly wheel and roughly 560ftlbs at fly wheel surely this is mistake ??? check graph out below great day out though nice to meet alot of people i hadnt meet before well done Paul great day also boys at burger stall thanks for the feed . Craig bonnet closed
andrew_forrest Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Mine made 322.2 at fly wheel and roughly 560ftlbs at fly wheel surely this is mistake ??? check graph out below great day out though nice to meet alot of people i hadnt meet before well done Paul great day also boys at burger stall thanks for the feed . Craigbonnet closed Does look a bit odd Craig, doesn't your car do around 90mph in 3rd at full rpm ? Peak power at 61mph in 3rd relates to around 4700rpm ? Std cars seem to read close to book figures but modified cars are notoriously difficult to get a reading from on a rolling road (ref my post on Pg 1) Any other graphs available ? Andy
craig_harey Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 yes as i did 2 runs good time apart one with bonnet open
euan_r Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 first thanks to paul and the guys at hypertech for accoomadating the northerners second to gus and andy that were on barbaque duty. got 231 at fly which is not too bad for a uk with 111k on the clock and only exhaust changes. more importantly got the afr checked out which was what i was looking for. trust a coolant sensor to through a wobbly on the way down though. good putting a few faces to names again
craig_harey Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 (edited) here is the first run i did and forgot the advise to shut bonnet Edited November 11, 2007 by young-buck27
andrew_forrest Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 (edited) Interesting, how effective was the tmic cooling fan ? Did it give a good blast of air directly down through the intercooler ? Edited November 11, 2007 by Andy.F
craig_harey Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 never had a top mount feed but a good high power one head on
paulc555 Posted November 11, 2007 Author Posted November 11, 2007 Thanks to everyone for today...It was a long cold one, but well worth it... Huge Thanks must go out to Duncan and the team for an excellent job and also for jumping in to fix the various issues which arose with a few of the cars....thanks for that Duncan..... Thanks also to Andy, and his maid of hounour Gus for the Burgers and other barby delights....excellent for a wee warm up.... Thanks to Gav and YV for warming me up in various ways..... But most of all thanks to all those who put the cars on the rollers and stumped up some hard earned. I will report back when I have sorted out with Hypertech the financials and let you know how much we made for Santa Cruise...... On another note....other graphs are available from the day...all data was saved and I can organise if anyone requires any further information on their cars performance....but would need to do this on request with Duncan..... So thanks again everyone...Im finally beginning to warm up now.....at last.....
andy Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 It was a long cold one You're not f****** kidding there! It was even longer and even colder for those of us who turned up when they said they would Huge Thanks must go out to Duncan and the team for an excellent job and also for jumping in to fix the various issues which arose with a few of the cars....thanks for that Duncan..... Absolutely. It must get a bit boring for the lads. Car on, strap down, run, unstrap, car off, car on, strap down etc etc all day, but done with enthusiam throughout. The tea urn and ready supply of hot drinks, free of charge, was particularly appreciated. Top job. Thanks also to Andy, and his maid of hounour Gus for the Burgers and other barby delights....excellent for a wee warm up.... Glad to be able to help out. Although I recognised a few faces, it was the first time I'd really got talking to the guys on here and some good banter was enjoyed The downside is (apart from hypothermia) all I can taste and smell is smoke. The profits weren't as high from the food as I'd have liked, largely due to st3ph3n not turning up I took a bit of a hit as my donation to this year's event and the final food sum given to Paul was £50.00 - with not one single scrotum consumed Thanks again to Gus for volunteering to help with this. But most of all thanks to all those who put the cars on the rollers and stumped up some hard earned. Absolutely. Nice one guys
4Hero Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 452 at fly wheel for me and roughly 4370ftlbs In my dreams good results folks, sounded like a good day (if not cold).
the squiggle Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 199.4bhp, canny remember the torque, car totaly standard with a dirty air filter, oh yea the car is 20yrs old and according to the book had 220bhp from the factory, well chuffed(what did Terzo Neil make ) Graeme Only losing 1 hp a year is no gad going for an ocean liner Good to hear everyone had a good time
terzo neil Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 yes it was a good day still had all the cats in place with no engine mods, according to sheet it made 198.6 bhp with 205lb.ft hey graeme at least i am keeping mines and can gain 30bhp if i take all the cats out yours just made it on the rollers, nearly slid right off, could get over the first set atleast mines doesnt weigh over 2 tonnes
marky.t.s Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 i popped over for a wee while, jeeze it was fffffreezin man!! took a couple of crap pics........... Andy, didnt know that was you on the burgers, sorry for not saying hello.

scoobymark Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 It was a Damm cold day!!! I got 317bhp and 360lb torque happy with the torque but guy that sold the car to me said Zen had mapped it to 360/360, so not too happy with the BHP. Will need to be visiting Mr F shortly

Will need to be visiting Mr F shortly I think DD gives one of the lowest BHP readings from any RR so don't worry there ...just get a good time @ Crail
paul555sti Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Is there a full list of figures made on the day?
