Subiesport Magazine "world Meet" 21oct 2 Pm!

hello all!

i recently got an e mail from my friend Yujiro Otsuki, the photo-editor of subiesport magizine, and he is organizing a meet across the world to bring subaru owners together and promote the subiesport magizine, its called WORLD-MEET, they will take place on 13, 14, 20 , 21 of october, so not too far out fellas!

he wants ME and SIDC to represent the UK!!!!!!!!! this is a great way to get our name out there and great club publicity.

i will be handing out FREE subiesport gear at the meet!

we have a great photgrapher!

so here is what i am asking from you all:

1.shine up those scoobs

2.come on down to the plough at 11am on the 21st!

if this sounds good to you, and you want your face and clubname in a big magizine, post up here and let me know! so i know how much free stuff to get.

i was thinking a venue with alot of room and a nice backdrop, like the top floor of a local multistory carpark with a view of cambridge or something.

i vote 21st,m becAUSE my car is in the body shop at the moment, so hope it will be done by then, maybe we should hold this in conjunction with the MK meet.?

There are 2 huge gatherings on this Sunday - AM at the Scoobyball near Oxford for the "morning after" photocall, plus the massed ranks at Lanark in the afternoon to remember Colin.

Both are huge examples of when the club forgets it's little squabbles and pulls together as a real community - you won't find a better gathering than these to demonstrate the UK scooby scene?

Although neither occasion would be appropriate to add banners etc for this magazine to promote themselves, I am trying to show that whatever get together transpires, it won't really show us doing what we can at our best.

For top quality pictures, the photographer will want really good daylight, so tagging onto an evening meet might not be the best idea? If the idea is also to show SIDC as the UK face of scoobies, then using a non-SIDC event at MK seems a bit illogical?

A crawl over the SIDC calendar page shows October to be a bit quiet - aprt from 7th, but I know there are other meets such as Dunstable on 6th

Not trying to knock a good idea, just trying to cover off a few practicalities.

One last thought - Essex tunnel run on 27th!!

This is a cool idea! A great chance for enthusiasts all over the world to appreciate everyones pride and joy.

I can only do the 14th mate.......work on 13th and away 20th + 21st.

Think it would have been better for us to have had the meet during what little summer we had afterall it is typical English weather now and the show season is almost over, but, these are the dates we have to work with and I just hope we can get enough people to make some nice pics for Subiesport.
