For Admin - Could We Have A List Of "scottish" Discounts For Members ?

I know we have a couple of 'stickies' on Scottish Scoobies highlighting the discounts and deals available to SIDC members .

But there are loads of other local specialists offering club discounts too .

How about a list of Scottish 'deals' in the Scottish Scoobies 'sticky' section ?

Along with Greersport , Meercat , Hypertech etc etc + lots of other wee garages and tyre places that folk maybe wouldn't know about , that gave a discount to SIDC members .

Aye, but he's all luvved up these days.

I've not really spoken to Stephen about this as yet (for reason, see above!) but I have my own ideas on the SS presence on the site and how we should move it forward.

www.scottishscoobies.com (and .co.uk) just point to this Forum at the moment. That's a start, but it's not ideal. I'd like to see them point to their own area within the front page system with news, reports, discounts etc from the various Scottish regions (with a main menu link to Scottish Scoobies). Stuff would still appear as part of the main site, with news appearing on the main front page and RO's etc appearing in the main RO list, but with the ability to "drill down" to Scottish-specific stuff.

I'm probably not explaining this too well, but I'll talk to the ginger ninja (when he takes a break from being all luvved up) and see if we can put something together that's a bit more than just a Forum presence and shows more of the Club in Scotland, but is still very much part of the SIDC main presence.

Never try and post from a phone. Opera clearly doesn't like the fast reply box. I was away on Holiday for a few days and just back.

Anyway, what I was trying to say is that if you got to the main homepage you'll see the new "Subaru Directory". In this the dealers are all listed, complete with addresses etc.

The plan is to build this directory into a resource of websites and physical locations for all things Subaru. These entries in the directory will also have something stating whether they offer discount or not, and what that discount is.

I'm still trying to get my head round how it's all going to work, and to fill it with plenty of information to begin with, but a possibility will be to open up submission of entries to the list so that people can add them, and then one of the site administrators (me at the moment) can then view and approve legitimate ones for all to see.
