Just got word through today that these limited edition models will be £22995. Both 4 and 5 door models will be the same price.

Ready for delivery in September.

 Only 300 saloons and 100 wagons will be produced.

I'm not so sure, you're getting a warranty covered modified car that looks great and goes like stink... plus the fact that it is being released in a very limited number. I dont think you'd be a million miles away from the RRP of the GB270 if you added all the extras to a stock 17k WRX and reckon that a limited edition is going to be worth more than a basic WRX with a few Prodrive options bolted onto it. []

Can't wait to see them 'in the flesh' cause they look great in the pics. [H]

just done one for a customer,wrx in aqua,loads of bits,circa 20k,and looks amazing!

ltd editions holding value,wr1's are now around the 16k mark on autrotrader 30k new when a sti at the same time was £24995 without discount.I paid £22700 for my one.

you can get a pre reg delivery mileage sti for that kind of money.

ok maybe i missed somethin but whats the difference between the spec C,D and STI apart from price and all spec C's seem to be white and D's seem to be goldy/silver colour

sti is your basic top end Impreza. 2.0 in Japan and 2.5 in the UK as of the 06 cars. 

Spec D is a UK/European STI with a low level rear wing, leather interior, sat nav and possibly the nice wheels too? D for discreet.

Spec C is a Jap STI with many many many nice things about it. Lighter, stiffer, faster etc. etc. C for crivens it's quick.

but at 270BHP thats in STi territory, plus its gonna be a VERY limited number car too

You're right there mate, I think a PPP'd WRX is quicker than a stock STi.. WRX PPP @ 270bhp and 310lbft against the STi @ 280bhp and 290lbft and the WRX's 5-speed box means less changing and faffing about unlike in the STi with its 6-speed box.

I'm not sold on the looks of the GB270 Saloon, but I am a big fan of the GB270 Wagon, think it looks spot on. [H]

Well i was thinking of getting one till i gagged on the price.I contacted a dealer,test drove a standard 2.5 wrx which i was impessed with.The price of the gb270 hadn't been released at that point so they said they would phone with change over price,but if i didnt hear from them by 10am the next morning i was to phone them.I though what a way to conduct business,anyhow i didnt get the call and it wasnt worth phoning cause the price was still unknown.When the price was released i sent an e-mail saying no ta too expensive.To date i still havent heard from them to at least say thanks for letting us know or it would cost x amount to change.You know who you are and you need to sharpen up your ideas.[:@]

Its a nice car  for sure, Im finding it quite intresting to see Colin McRae's name on the WRC car in the back ground could this mean somthing or am i just being to hopfull ???
