Well my brother and I are about to embark on a new little project which will hopefully be running not too long after my car (fingers crossed on my car being finnished some time this century )
Anyways to start off i will let you in on what engine we are thinking of.
it has 300 HP @ 2500 rpm and about 665 lb. ft. of torque at 2000 rpm. It has 6 cylinders, a displacement of 5950cc and runs on the fuel of Satan (not to be confused with Playsatan ) and burns approx 12.75 gallons per hour flat out.
answers on a post card as to what you think we are up to
Graeme
only a wee engine then graeme
can i interested you in a cummins KTA50-G3
only 50 litre in capacity, with 16 cylinnders, 2 turbos, pushing 1810bhp at 1500 rpm and 2200bhp at 2200 rpm, and use fuel at 1.5 gallons a minute flat out
-
finally got my one off colin mcrae print on the wall after 2 years being in the frame and bubble wrap, just fits on the wall with 3 inches either side to spare, 3 mounting points on wall for it as well
still got the limited edition (13/555) in the tube it came in tucked away
-
looks like you needed a speedboat there to get a decent time
-
i managed to get 368 miles to 48 litres going to the ring in germany, car is a prodrive'd blob wrx, cruising at 80mph all the way there
it does better than my mapped terzo, that got 374 miles to 52 litres of fuel cruisng at a steady 65mph
