Couldn't get much off Dez as my fone battery packed in and I was at work when I phoned. What I could gather, the guy has turned up, shouting the odds about wanting some money back, has kicked Dez work van, police are there taking statements etc and presumably shifting/charging the bloke, waiting for Dez to fone back with full details. Oh and he's come up with a seperate car full of "heavies" as back up. Whether if the bloke and his "chums" were tooled up I don't know, can only hope not. Makes you sick all this, have known Des & Donna for many years and two nicer people you couldn't meet and no way would they intentionally rip anyone off. Just hope with the police intervention that there will now be some closure on this whole sorry episode. Ari.

Aye Dale, not good at all. You, I and many others have seen that car and if that's a write off with multi coloured panels then I must be blind.

Reason I ask is that a mate of mine, who is also a member on here, did a private cash sale on Saturday for his 02 Bugeye STi. Jist of the story is the lad came up from Glasgow, had a good look round, took the car for a test drive, was impressed to the point that he said it was a "very nice example", handed over the cash, signed the V5 and off he went back to Glasgow. Yesterday he's on the phone ranting that the car's a disgrace, has been rolled, the roof's twisted, panels are all different colours etc and he's wanting his money back. The car came from Sunnyhill Motors just 6 months ago and is HPi checked clear, Sunnyhill even did it again themselves yesterday at their own expense to have fax proof. My mate has tried to reason with him over the phone but he just keep's hanging up, saying he'll be in Aberdeen tonight at 5pm and that there are "ways' of getting his money back. A threat in anyones book i'd say. A pretty unsavoury way to do business im sure you'll all agree and a bit worrying for my mate and his wife. If any of you are in Yoker could you PM me and i'll give you his name and you'll maybe know or will have heard of him and you could maybe have a word and see exactly what's wrong here. Cheers, Ari.

Think that's the whole problem Craig, the fact the thread was entitled "More KNOBS terrorising the public", maybe if the original poster had thought about it before diving in feet first . . . Anyways, no more on the subject from me, as i've already said, this should now be allowed to fade away.

I think this needs to be put to bed now. What's done is done, seems there is blame on both sides and dragging it out any more can surely only do more harm than good to all parties concerned.

Exactly Iain. I can probably name all those that were on that run yesterday but until they get the opportunity to defend themselves no more should be said on the subject.

Excellent gesture folks, would have loved to have joined you but just a tad far away. Seen it on the news, very poignant. Was really looking forward to going to watch the great man in action at the McRae rally in a fortnight.

Even got to display the SIDC flag next to my car [] Hope the guy with the white Newage who went off and into the fence at the first bend isn't too badly out of pocket, looked like a few bent panels unfortunately []
