  1. Apologies for that Steve, every so often when a new member signed up the registration email would go to my spam folder and wasn't read, I guess that's what happened to you. However EVERY new member got activated, if I didn't get the aforementioned email I activated them from the control panel. I'm guessing you may have fallen victim to the 72 hour post rule i.e. you don't post within 72 hours of registration you get deleted. Not your fault as you didn't get your confirmation Email. You following this at all ?!?! Don't let it put you off joining up in the future though.
  2. It's either a complaint has been received Arthur or possibly that because I deleted myself the board is running without an Administrator and that is not allowed, would be nice if Iforumer would contact me with an explanation of what's going on. Be a bit sad if someone has lodged a complaint though, if that's the case then I DEFINITELY won't be back.
  3. See that's what happens when you give up administration duties because even I don't know why the board is down ! Just to clear things up for any of the Aberdeen members who may be in the dark over what has happened, owing mainly to personal reasons i've decided to step down as admin on the Aberdeen Scoobies forum because I feel I can't give the job the attention it needs, my mind is on other things at the moment. As anyone who is/has been admin on a fourm will testify, it needs a LOT of attention. I am however staying on as a member and will be continuing to run the Website.
  4. Very nice Wagon that. I can concur with the smitten thing, i've only been away from mine for less than 4 months and it's the worst decision I ever made
  5. Cal, i'm sure we've got a photo of that kicking about somewhere
  6. Not good Iain, not good You know you've got a good bunch of mates up here in sheep country if yer ever stuck for a sympathetic ear.
  7. Haha, website is offline for the moment, i'm in process of overhauling it Tracey. Board is still there though.
  8. Sco, has there been a 100% confirmation yet of the Tarmac stage around the the Torry Battery for the Granite yet ? It was reported that they had gotten permission for it but as yet nothing to say it was definitely going to be part of next years Rally.
  9. Nice wee write up today's Sunday Post as well, nice to see i've been promoted to "Club Captain"
  10. You know the daft thing, I kept saying to myself, "there's a bloke with an SIDC jumper on taking pics, wonder who he is" ? You are more than welcome to join us on our runs/events anytime, as is anyone from just about anywhere ! Well except the Evo mob of course Aye Union Street was a bitty special, the looks on the shoppers faces was a picture in itself and how satisfying was it to block the bus lane and force the feckers to use the rest of road for a change :biggrinsanta:
  11. Andy, superb pics and thanks very very much for coming up, HOWEVER i'm ashamed to say that despite the fact you spent the whole day with us, I didn't introduce myself !!
  12. A day that will live with me forever, just fantastic. Thank you to everyone who contributed over the past year in whatever way, no matter how small. Seeing the kids at the hospital brought home exactly what we do this for and makes us doubly determined to make next years even bigger. As for the dirty cars, can't speak for anyone else but every car wash I tried this morning was frozen !
  13. Excellent stuff folks, big well done to you all
  14. Well done guys Can we have our homeless guy back please ?
  15. Christ Dale, you take some really flattering photies, not Aye it's been fantastic, guys have up here have been brilliant in raising around £2500 in the short space of time we had the Cruise up and running. Really can't wait for next Saturday now, the pile of stuff we have stored is incredible, just shows what you can do with a little bit of effort. Thanks also to the Glasgow and Lothian folks for giving us the inspiration to get this off the ground, makes you proud to be part of the Scooby community.
  16. Certainly different and I wouldn't be hanging one up on any wall near me but fair play to them I say, would take some balls to do that (pardon the pun ) and anything that's done for Cancer charities gets the thumbs up from me.
  17. For buying Calendars from Dale last night, much appreciated lads, thank-you very much. Lang may yer lums reek
  18. All the best with this Imy & Co. should be a cracker. We have ours (Aberdeen) organised for the 22nd and we can't wait. Just shows how good this Scooby community of ours is. Enjoy and most of all, light up them kiddies faces
  19. Yup, Dez's STi ! Oddly enough, no mention of multi coloured panels and twisted roofs
  20. Taken from other board. Hopefully no serious injuries, anyone know the Scoob ?
  21. Couldn't get much off Dez as my fone battery packed in and I was at work when I phoned. What I could gather, the guy has turned up, shouting the odds about wanting some money back, has kicked Dez work van, police are there taking statements etc and presumably shifting/charging the bloke, waiting for Dez to fone back with full details. Oh and he's come up with a seperate car full of "heavies" as back up. Whether if the bloke and his "chums" were tooled up I don't know, can only hope not. Makes you sick all this, have known Des & Donna for many years and two nicer people you couldn't meet and no way would they intentionally rip anyone off. Just hope with the police intervention that there will now be some closure on this whole sorry episode. Ari.
