what not to do on sunday afternoon
SergeantScooby replied to SergeantScooby's topic in Scottish Scoobies
was along at bridge of don end, i dont know about it been banned, think that was last thing on their minds -
While down aberdeen beach for a little stroll, i stopped to watch these 2 guys playing with their obviously new toy a jet ski, they were getting ready to pack up so i carried on walking along then came back, they were still struggling with the jetski trying to get it out of the water, there was quite a crowd growning watching them which was getting them very frustrated. To top it off one of them got the chelsea tractor stuck on beach, so the other one had to get his and tow it out. I think they will probably be re thinking their future outings, could only get one pic of event for fear of been spotted, it was funny sorry if your a member of this forum but i had to share

F1 GP - Button (results mentioned!!!!!!!!!!!)
SergeantScooby replied to clutdav's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I have never really been into F1, seems its more about money and technology rather than driving skills, i did watch a couple of the A1 racing which was all equal but have to say i found it just as dull, i rather see "normal" cars racing against each other. -
RA, i used do haudigan a numbers of years back and know exatly what you mean, that has to be one of worst in uk, my company might be moving to dyce from westhill which is making me feel sick that i might have to commute out that way once again, i have told them that if they move i want flexible hours to avoid that nightmare. This issue with indicating has been building up in me for years and i had to vent today as i was nearly flattened on bridge of dee roundabout by a chelsea tractor so i stopped and starred at the guy with a look of shock, he then proceeded to mouth plenty of abuse at me and show the finger, how pleasent. I am not a violent man but that nearly sent me over the edge. He just pulled right out as i passed him then made out i was in wrong.

welcome matty people have different views on dump valves, the majority that fit them seem to like them for a few weeks then get sick of the psssssssssttt, you can off course get quiet ones, as for the the technical aspect of them i cant comment, but am sure someone will be able to recommend a few, scoobysport and scoobyworld have a few different versions

good job kloon, think i will be following suit with my side repeaters as you previously advised
-
I knew i was right, i thought i might have missed something that happened to the laws in uk when i was out of country for 4 years, so its just incompetence from a huge majority of drivers. feel better after that rant thanks all

folk in aberdeen would be fecked if we had any of them they struggle with mini roundabouts Disclaimer: i dont include any scoobie drivers who are on this forum from aberdeen
-
This is probably going to sound like a silly post but i dont care as i need to vent. Have the rules changed since i passed my test 15 years ago or are the roads full of tw@ts who just cant drive or are too lazy. I have noticed more and more that people coming onto roundabouts are failing to indicate until the exit they are wanting to take. I was taught if your going left indicate left, straight on indicate on exit, 3rd exit indicate right then opposite way on exit and 4th exit same as 3rd. It seems that people are either been taught not to bother indicating till your exit or not at all or there is just a lot of crap drivers out there. Can someone put my mind at ease either way what is the correct way of tackling a roundabout.

I replaced the nasty lexus lights on my classic ra with sti rear clusters, however the lexus lights had a foglight in them, i am now rear foglight less for the moment shhhhh don't tell anyone. I have been reading you can drill through at the reflector part of sti lights and put a red 21w bulb in there, all the wiring is pretty much there as the previous install had a button to right of steering wheel which activated the rear fog. Anyone done this on their classic ? or having any other ideas other than slapping a big square light on bumper ? thanks

Those wee orange bits under the indicators . . .
SergeantScooby replied to kloon's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Alright Kloon i found this on scoobynet a few weeks ago gives some decent advice on doing them, however one line concerns me regarding using paint stripper, i dont know how that would work on plastic but gives some good advice otherwise http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?...ighlight=wedges -

wise words andy, i do have that paranoid thought in back of mind that one day the engine is just going to go bang and that will be game over. I dont know if i can stomach much more cash been paid out on the up keep and running of this car, i think i slightly underestimated just how much it costs to run an impreza oh well we live and learn
-
With reading a lot of subaru forums its becoming clear to me that fuel remaps are of utmost importance, assuming that if its wrong your engine will go BANG and you will be crying all the way to the garage for a rebuild. I am making a real big assumption here and taking the dealers word that my my00 ra is fine and should be run on optimax quite happily however i am paranoid now after reading various postings. Is there anyway of telling what on earth the mapping on your car is set for ? any obvious signs that something is not quite right or does the engine just go BANG one day when its had enough ? thanks mr paranoid
-
jeez thats a shocking thing to happen to any wheel on a car, just as well you were doing the speed you were and nothing faster, could have been very messy, there was obviously a fault in the manufacture of the said wheel, i personally would want all of them changed if they are from same batch
-
thanks dougster, definately worth checking again, fingers crossed its just low in fluid did you find the squeal was mainly happening when your motor was cold or all the time ? sorry for all the questions just trying to establish root of problem
