  6. Thanks Squirrel, now you got me thinking, not sure if its restricted, never been on the track and i would not try that speeds on the public roads, but i do fancy just a bit more refinements than the ra has, its a noisy bugger and mainly used for commutes so not best car to be doing that in.
  7. All Looking for opinions on a price for my type ra, 2000 w type ra import limited edition 487 of a 1000, full electric pack, belts done, approx 28,000 miles 2 owners me inclusive, since it came into country. Sonic blue 17 inch wheels, no engine mods at all, pretty much a minter good example of a classic. Wanting to get myself a newer model probably 03 04 sti, trying judge what i should be looking at for private or trade sale. Any suggestions on prices welcomed. thanks SS

  16. Russell having only known you a few months and met twice , i know you have a passion for the impreza and for what you can do with them, when i came by and you put the cans on car and listened to engine you put my mind at ease. I was looking forward to you doing some work on my car, nothing like some of the nutters on here "craig mac" [] but the more basic stuff that the mechanically challenged like me cant do, i am sure over time though i would want more speed. All i know is your passionate and taught me more about the car in a couple of hours than i had learnt in the months i have had it, you made me want to learn more about it. I truely hope you stay interested and continue your efforts in aberdeen. It would be a great loss. I would say that most people would prefer to take their car to someone (you) who is willing to explain what they are doing and what the outcome should be and give them an insight into the process rather than to some merchant who takes your car of you in morning then if your lucky returns it back to you with a huge invoice and no idea whats truely been done. Keep things going in some form, even if its low key as you say its not about the cash its about the passion and the enjoyment you get out of it , there is loads of support as you can see from the posts, dont let a few idiots spoil your fun. Get in touch when you can Cheers for now SS
  17. that would be me Cal seen you on sunday past then bumped into Blue Thunder just after that, i am pretty close by you i think. Alas not an STi, its a type ra. I take it you seen the cops on sunday sneaking into their little hidey hole when we drove past them, didnt know they hid there or maybe its just somewhere the can stop off and have coffee and......
  18. ma car is sick right now, needs a good service and that dam squeak sorted, its been driving me insane for months now and cant pin it down so i wont be heading down, not that i have been to anything yet but i will i promise
  19. 4 today on way home from work i was in sonic blue classic, also i seen you yesterday Cal your close by me. Nice wee hinding place the police have there, i was in the classic behind you on sunday
  20. I would like to find from them why they are so unwilling to touch Jap imports and even parts queries are given the cold shoulder when enquired about, i also phoned subaru UK and they were were cagey when advising me also. It might have been the case it was the particular person i spoke to but i have read about others with similar experiences. I guess its because the car was not bought from subaru UK originally but at the end of the day its revenue in their pocket and they have all the necessary equipment and parts This is not quite what you were asking for craig but if it came up in conversation it would be interesting to find out for sure the reasons.
