  1. Hi mate, i am out at Straiton. Just along the by-pass. Cheers, Chris
  2. no worries mate, i an have a look anytime! As fas as i know, it should not be a hard task. Chris
  3. I can have a look for you mate, i can get spacers made up pretty quickly but i would need a look before hand! If you want to meet up then just ask, i have done a couple of custom fits for inpreza front and my car also has Infinity speakers in the front. Cheers, Chris
  4. Feel free to PM me as i can get it done for a small fee! It means a small drive 30mins south of edinburgh but its not a big problem........and no chinese whispers!! Let me know, i just got mine done and it passed spendidly well with a 3"swan neck decat downpipe and 3"all the way back; i did get a black mark for no fog light though. Chris
  5. Fair play mate, just watch out for Bore-wash though! I purchased and installed an Aquamist water injection kit as apposed to playing about with the fuel regulator. I also noticed the difference once i installed the front mount intercooler but again, going rich is just as bad as going lean........be careful, the early classics are secretly know for having internals manufactured by cadbury's! Chris
  6. Hi Mate, i have encountered the dreaded fuel cut on the ECU and to be honest.......you know when its occured. If your thoughts behind the phrase "Slight Hesitation" are you instantly loose power and the car feels like an elephant has just jumped in your back seat then yes fuel cut is your problem. One thing to not though mate, 1.2bar in an early classis without a remap is suicide! Get the AVC-R on and set it to something around 1Bar max. Then go and buy a "Knock link" for around the £120 mark. Have you checked to see what ECU you are running with at the moment? Front passenger side, under the carpet, remove the metal kickplate and have a swatch! Chris
  7. Well, the car is defo not going anywhere. The girlfriend's mother did not shut the car door correctly and as such has flattened my battery! "FUN AND GAMES ON A SATURDAY" Chris
  8. Hi mate, the amazing fact is that hot girl in the scooby was actually my girlfriend in my car. She was in Dalkeith this afternoon for lunch with her mum. I am still convinced my car has a double kicking about, but my girlfriend thanks you for the complement! That was defo my badboy, good to hear people are actually noticing my car and looking out for it. Cheers, Chris
  9. Hi guys, I have just been looking into this thread more clearly and i am on the Squirrels side of things here! If you went into a shop and took something of a shelf and got to the check out and was informed you were mistaken about the actual price, you would argue that, the price stated for the item is the one you wish to pay for! If it is wrong by anyone's result excluding yourselve, then thats their fault. I am actually glad that Grant has posted this up on the forum as people are always keen to scream positive remarks regarding companies yet anything bad is always fround apon! In all fairness, the excuse used by flat4online about sending E-mails to relevant persons sounds like a "cop-out" Am with you Grant, i have been stung in several occasions and it hurts to be honest, please don't try and hide this problem guys, i spend a shed load of money each month on my car and always recomend companies where required, Chris
  10. WHAT, INPOSTER!! Sorry buddy, i was on a flight back from Stansted at that time, although i am convinced my wee brother has been farting about with my loved one.......nae he would not be so silly. I have heard rumours that a car matching my discription is floating about in midlothian, my dad seemingly tried to follow one on the A68 as he was convinced it was mine having been stolen! Chris
  11. I just done mine and re-used the same plug. The best process for doing the job you will need the following: 1No. 2litre bottle of fizzy pop(Empty) sliced at the bottom leaving a cup shape with the bottle top on the underside. A Length of flexy PVC piping of some discription, generally its a better idea to push the pipe into the dipstick hole as apposed to over it. black plastic bag wrapped around the bottle to stop the oil jumping back all over your nice clean engine bay. 1No. bottle of magners Cider(Empty) to act as a third hand whilst filling. I have added some photo's for help!
  12. Unlucky mate, judging by the photo, the wheel location has shifted back slightly. Thats a killer mate. If you need anything, i have first dips on a number of classics for breaking at the moment. Let me know if you need any help. Chris
  13. Howdy buddy, that looks spot on! Am glad to hear the car is getting closer and closer to churning up some tarmac, the SSR inlet manifold looks the business. beginning to wish i had gone down the same route. See you around buddy, Chris
  14. it depends on where you are mate but Steve Whtison through here in Edinburgh has great knowledge with regards to engine rebuilds and would be happy to assist. He just finished some work on my car and the workmanship was spot on. I recon there are other people on here who would happily recomend him for work like this! Good luck mate, Chris
  15. You are joking me, that is a seriously bad piece of luck if that turns out to be what we all think it is! I already know a couple of guys who have found themselves right in the middle of the same situation....new impreza followed by crash bang ahhhhh tears and all that. As mentioned though there is no rush for sale so if he has any questions get him to drop me a line. pass on my regards, Chris
  16. you mention you are after a new exhaust mate, i have just purchased a serious system from Wilky as part of plans but they look to be shelved at the moment. I am up for selling it on for the price i paid for it...£300 for a Group-A 3" deCAT swan neck downpipe, 3" straight length centre section and a Magnex 6x4" oval backbox! As mentioned, a serious bit of kit that should see your car change immediatley! Drop me a line if interested, i am in no rush to sell as i know come the summer this could go for a lot more. All the best with the car by the way, Chris
  17. Fantastic little bombers these cars........2Bar of pressure is crazy for one of those, that round about 30psi. The only thing i thought that ran that kind of boost seriously was a Sierra Cosworth with ££££of mods. It looks the part and please keep it on the black stuff, i know one guy in edinburgh who is resonsible for removing two of these from earth via grass and gravel. Its great to see old classics now and again, these sort of things were the wanted car during your high school days; well mine anyway! Chris
  18. That sounds like a guy i know from Roslin........its got alot of Zero Sport parts on it. I think it also has a Zero Sport sticker on the back. Very nice car, pretty standard but runs like a treat. Chris
  19. Alright folks, Anyone on here got experience with installing an Apexi AVC-r to a classic STi? I am looking to install my unit ASAP but was hoping someone on here might fancy a spot of pocket money for giving me a hand! Give me a shout if anyone is available. Best Regards, Chris
  20. Na mate, just get ride of the piece of Cat Sh1te would be a more proactive direction to take! Nothing but hassle, thats the D600 summed up for you. Chris
  21. And your replacement looks like this! Sorry for the quality, pictures were taken with my Samsung D600. Cheers, Chris
  22. That sounds identicle to the problem i had mate and the answer as above is the old ECU fuel cut. If you can find out your ECU type, then someone on her will be able to tell you the main characteristics of it....ie, when boost cut will occur! By doing that, you will then know your limits when ajusting the boost...........How exactly are greer going to do it on yours? It might be worth buying yourself a Knocklink unit for the dashboard just for peace of mind, they are not that expensive, All the best mate, Chris
  23. just to back Wilky up, the guy in Edinburgh actually manufactured mine custom to suit my spec. I will try and get some photo's up tomorrow to show you. I think i paid £175 or something similar. This unit is amazing and recommended by myself. my power FC will be mapped during Febraury so i hopefully will see a large difference. As things stand the now, there is a decent difference noticable even before the map. At the end of it all, its your money, just remember that if you are looking for any decent increase of power then remapping is the main route. Chris
  24. Problem solved....alloy will be in Edinburgh and ready for pick up on Monday night. Chris
  25. ahhh, is that what that is!!! one of those cars passed me at the gyle as i was going to work, its rather nasty looking up close to be honest. The back end looks stupid to be frank.....i would defo stick with the previous shape than that..........although the Scooby will always be in my heart way before the CTR's Chris
