I would mate if they had any insurance but they don't. I will be taking it up with the ombudsman about this as i paid good money for this insurance and i will not let them fleece me .

As a few of you know my pride and joy has come to a sticky end with a skip lorry. Now the fun starts with the insurance, they send me a letter to say the car is a total loss and that they are going to offer me £2800.00 for it. So i send a letter back and ask were they got that figure from as i have never seen a Type R for that price anywhere. I gets a new letter saying that they will offer me £6500.00 and no more,but i then point out that i have all these mods and they are listed on my insurance when i took it out with keith micheals. Then i get the letter back and it says " we will only pay out for the mods if the car can be repaired" so being unable to get hold of Keith Micheals i ring Highway Insurance to find out whats going on. I'm then told that even if i have all the mods listed they do not pay out for them. So after spending nearly £22000.00 buying the car and modifing it they are only going to pay out £6500 and if i want the car back i will have to pay them £3570.00 and they will then send me a cheaque for £2930.00 along with my car.So due to this it looks like i will not be the owner of another scooby for a long time. SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT INSURANCE WE ARE OFFERED VIA THE CLUB

Well spraytech from Aylesbury have been and got the car which they will check and give a quote , but the inspector who come and got it has said due to the roof and A piler being damaged it is 99% a write off. So new body shell it is then.
