  1. My old wagon , before it was sold and subsequently written off. R.I.P S668 YNO
  2. Jac, you've got one rear brake light out and only one rear light working when you put your lights on! Penalty points magnet! Tsk Tsk.
  3. I was up spectating for about 4 hours this afternoon, great entertainment! Your mates type r was going very well, felt a bit sorry for the blobeye owner who lost it on the last session and took some serious damage to his nearside front wheel. Great weather for a change, sorry didn't get any photos but maybe colin will be putting some up later. craig.
  4. ......back on topic, here's another in black...
  5. They don't look to shabby in White.
  6. That's a fantastic link Stephen!! Love the camera work, the sound of it changing down after the long straight is absolutely immense.
  7. Retro Skyline anyone?.......mmmmm yes please!! http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/10/06...eet-kpgc10.aspx
  8. http://www.a-b-w.co.uk/ ht.autos worth trying these people first, immortal used to make kits including doors, but may be trading under another name, worth asking over on 22b.
  9. A saving is a saving when weight reduction's the name of the game, but polycarbonate 'windows' and fibreglass doors make a major weight saving. Will also make your wallet a lot lighter too!
  10. Have your numbers come up on the lottery! Nice one Cathy, track car?
  11. http://www.plastics4performance.com/LEXAN-...ws/c-1-288-489/ Rear screen would need to be permantly bonded in.(once the glass one has been cut out) Side-windows can be fixed in place with rivets & brackets.
  12. DVLA will not entertain photocopies Mike, probably the best you can hope for is asking the 'seller' to keep badgering DVLA, to try and speed the process up. Patience is a virtue, Mike, but you probably don't have the time. Hope it sorts itself sooner rather than later, and i bet the machine polisher is primed and ready for some action. Craig.
  13. Extreme Motorsport 17B, Armadale Road, Whitburn, West Lothian. Tel: 01501 741 548 274bhp sounds about right.
  14. Jimmy, if my first experience of subaru was an expensive purchase followed by a catastrophic engine failure then i'd be feeling exactly the same as you. But i've had four of these cars and maybe it's down to luck, but i've only ever been let down once, due to a radiator hose bursting which you would admit can happen to any oldish vehicle. It's one of the reasons why i think there fairly easy to work on/fix if things need fixed.Parts are plentifull as opposed to EVO'S and probably cheaper part for part than BMW. Just my tuppence worth.
  15. And quite right too Rich! If you can afford it, why not push it a bit further. You were never serious about selling something that's got a heart and soul.
  16. P1's are notorious for engine failure but sling in a reliable rebuilt engine and you have a near perfect combination of style and performance. Subaru ownership is a funny old buisness, doesn't always make much sense, crap build quality, crap fuel econemy....BUT the SOUND of a tuned flat four boxer engine, sweet! Now you can talk about a 2 door bmw e46 with all the bells and whistles......leather blah de blah , reversing parking aids ,But it it will never have that soundtrack. Nicer looking? It's all a matter of taste/age but seriously, a bog standard e46 bmw ,even a 2 door coupe, against a P1/TYPE R ......SORRY NO CONTEST! craig.
  17. Gary, It was jimmygforce i was asking 'what was wrong with the P1?' The automatic gearbox would have put me off but as your good lady seems happy with that then all fine and dandy. Have AC Schnitzer stopped/gone out of buisness recently?
  18. congratulations Noel....but i thought you were a grandad already!
  19. so what was the big problem with the P1? Can't argue with you on the scoob/bmw build quality, but do you not feel like Johnny Blandsville (AKA The Rep) in the bmw ?
  20. or to put it another way....much heavier
  21. I can understand that your more than pleased with your new purchase but after one months ownership is it not being a bit rash claiming the car to being 'Best car i/v ever owned! Tempting fate.................
  22. I very nearly went for one of these recently, that looks particularly clean and an ac schnitzer. I do like the E46 bm's But when i started looking about on the roads, they seemed to be everywhere! Nice car.
