  4. he may well have a missfire but can't see how that would affect his overheating problem, unless it's the water pump?
  5. maybe worth taking off the top rad hose and the bottom one off then run some water via a hose through the radiator to elliminate the radiator.
  6. maybe worth checking the oil filler cap to see if it's showing ' carmeled coloured oil '= cylinder head gasket gubbed. could be your mates radiator has collapsed inside and blocked if 'top hose is hot and bottom hose is cold' or as doug says could be as simple as an air lock.(make sure you refill with the heater in the 'HOT' POSITION.

  20. another one from 1979 so that makes it 27 years with no convictions/penalty points. You didn't even need to wear a seat belt.......how scary does that seem now...pass me pipe.! Anybody for a worthers origional.........
  21. It was pretty much a straight swop, except that i had to cut away part of the inner bowl with a stanley knife( that would probably depend on which make of speakers you buy) this isn't a big job and as i said about half an hour a door, job complete and a big difference over the pishy standard ones.
  22. Yip well done indeed, it's been 25 years since i passed my test, really wouldn't like to jump through the hoops that they make you have to these days.........so well done!
  23. I've just changed the front door speakers on my classic to INFINITY'S that were 5.25", roughly took half an hour each side.
