  8. I had this email from this person Hi, I'm working on a documentary programme for BBC2 and we'd like to get hold of a Subaru Impreza in the Stoke area for some filming between the 8th - 14th June. The show we're making is called Bank of Mum and Dad. It's a financial makeover programme and we're using the car to illustrate a point about the spending habits of the person in the programme. He spent £4500 on a Subaru and then wrote it off without having comp insurance. Ideally, we'd be looking for a Impreza that is worth approx. £5K and looks immaculate. We're not looking for one with lots of modifications though. Could you give me a call on 01612443993 and I can tell you more. Thanks Dominic Callaghan BBC Entertainment and Features Bank of Mum and Dad ( Work: 0161 24 43993 * BBC Manchester, New Broadcasting House, Oxford Road, Manchester, M60 1SJ 8 E-mail: dominic.callaghan@bbc.co.uk

  10. From Richard Dredge Freelance motoring specialist Folks, I'm putting together a buying guide on the Impreza for Auto Express and I need a nice example of the pre-bug eye (up to 2000) WRX saloon, which needs to be in standard trim. Options can be fitted but modified cars can?t be used. Black or white are no good and silver isn't going to look too good either, as the car is photographed on a white background in artificial light. Green, blue or red would be fine though. There will only be studio photography of the car, so there will be no dynamic shots taken at all. If you think you might be able to help, could you drop me a line please, direct to my email address (subaru@richarddredge.com) ? attaching photos if you want to. In return for the use of your car (which nobody but you will drive), you'll get your costs paid, a set of the pictures (a studio shoot costs over £400) and your car in the UK's biggest selling weekly car mag. You'll need to be able to give up a day to take your car to the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu (Hampshire), but Tom Wood, the photographer there, does work Monday to Saturday. It would obviously be best for us to get someone reasonably close to Hants so we don?t have to fork out a fortune in costs and so you can be there at a reasonable time. 18. I have received this lovely email from this Lady and I would like to share it all with you, just to show that we have a great Chairman Dear Karyn I recently purchased a lanyard on Ebay. Simple enough thing to do, my grand son is 11 years old and a Subaru fanatic!!!! ) and I knew he would love it. That action of buying a liitte something for my grand son brought me in to contact with your incredible Chairman - Phil!!! I have been astounded by his generousity and overflowing heart. It has been like CHristmas and birthdays all wrapped into one for Kieran, I think you had a little something to do with this too ) First the mug, wow he was bowled over with it. Then came the posters ) he resides in a childrens home from sunday night to friday night and comes home to me for the weekends (I tried to have him fulltime but I am disabled and was unable to cope ( but he is with me at weekends and that means a lot to him and me. When he woke this morning and saw all the magazines and stickers, with his special membership card it made his day. He is going around smiling and singing, he is this very minute doing a "MAN THING" hahahaha, he is sat on the loo reading his magazines and singing away. One very happy little boy ) My reason for writing to you is to say thank you as I know Phil asked you to post things, but what I would really like you to do is get whoever updates your web, to put a massive thankyou on it to him from us, so other members can see what a lovely Chairman they have. In this society people are always so quick to complain, and so few remember to say THANKYOU. So from Kieran and I, a massive thankyou to your Chairman Phil Stevens, it would be nice to acknowledge Phil and his golden heart. Kindest Regards Judy and Kieran xxxx
