Anyone go?
Have to say I wasnt too impressed with the cars on offer indoors. Some were immaculate and proper classics, however there were some that should've been in the car park - there was some storming cars sitting out there!
Wee Uno Turbo that was manky - I've had 2 of these and it the owner didnt even wash it - so I wrote my name on it!!
X reg Ford Escort estate mk 3 - why? It was hanging together - guff.
S reg Ford Escort mk 5 - it had a shiny tailpipe and touring car sunstrip - so heavily modified then ?
Escort mk 3 convertible- yellow. The paint job was shocking - the car was no better than the spitfire they rebuilt for the show!
Fiesta van with an airbrush piccy - woohoo! Bring the bonnet next time, and leave the van in the car park.
Overall cars could only be described as decent, but hardly show material - some were as I said proper show cars, and they made it interesting. Noticed though quite a few recent 'standard' hot hatches - whats the point of that? I could see the same at Arnold Clark.
Outside was a bit better, however there were some 'classics' that as my mate said - 'people have bought a banger and brought it straight to the show' - he was looking at 2 old japs with more cracks than a crazy paving design.
Other than that, the cheeseburgers were excellent and the pax laps were good.
Dont think I'll be going there next year unless they scrutinise some of the entrants.
Went round the corner to the 'famous cars' site (not related to the show) - and saw Knight riders 2 cars, james bonds ones, postman pats, batmobile etc... so all was not lost
