  1. Also, Phil has offerred to look after my road wheels in the Club gazebo, but has anyone got room in their boot for my jack, tools and coolbox etc??

Happy to help if you don't get any other offers - more space in a wagon <grin>

I'll only need room for my usual junk, plus the group buy wheel bags that Phil is going to be distributing that day. We're booked onto the club stand, so hopefully not too far to carry the bits. I've got a 12v socket in the rear, so if your coolbox is a leccy powered one, I can plug it in for you.

    Cheers,

    David & Chrissy

    Much appreicated!.

Yeah, I slipped ashore to Camber sands by fast Zodiac boat early yesterday morning.

Resistance from the defending troops was light and consisted of 3 seagulls and a bloke called Derek who was looking for the way back to Butlins.

  4. The wife takes mine to work in Kings Hill once a week to give it a motorway run (and keep the miles of f her car [:D] ), so you might see that up/down Bluebell Hill etc...

Saves the battery getting flat, I suppose!

  5. I had this the other night. It was a boost hose that came off so the maf was not seeing the right amount of air as the flow was interupted.

The car would restart, but felt like it had 10bhp.

  7.  Hol has water inj and it improved his bhp figure [Y]

not sure but I think new age cars have better cooling anyway ??

My car was just about at the upper limit of the STI7/8 topmount at 370bhp-ish, it was also at the limit of the standard STI pink injectors. As you know I now have a big APS front mount and water/methanol injections. But am still limited by the injectors.

A top mount will always give better drivability than a front mount, but you are obviously limited by power as a result. You also get heat soak in traffic.

However, the 'lower the spec' turbo and the more you push it, the higher the intake charges will be as a result. So a front nmount will help unles you are running a high flow hybrid turbo.

Until recently, FMIC's were all around or over £1000, so people struggled on with top mounts due to budgets. Howerer, there are a lot of cheap ones out there now for the classic, so it actually makes sense to go that route.

Waterinjection actually richens up the fuelling which will loose you power. Hence you need to lean it off at the relevant points. It was this scope that allowed me to get a bit more out of the pinks.
