  1. That will be Arbroath Smokies car probably..It is nice though ps : welcome to the club ?? wttc ?
  2. Thanks Alan I'll check it over the weekend and let you know. cheers
  3. Cheers Euan. I had thought about the headers but the list of things that "could" be wrong with it is getting bigger the more I look into it. I'll need to put it into a garage and see what they come up with. I'm no mechanic so if it's not staring me in the face, I'm never going to find the fault. It's probably something easy to fix, it's just that I can't find it.
  4. No boost at all.
  5. Just the same as it was 3/4 weeks ago Peter . Sadly. I hope everything goes ok with yours
  6. New maf fitted Dis-connected the battery Done fault code check --- nothing found Had a look at the pipe work---couldn't find anything obvious I would put it in a garage but I don't know who to trust locally.
  7. Aye..new maf fitted. Gives a shout if you need the part number, I've still got the old one in the garage.
  8. It's just a pity there isn't any decent garages around here to trust with my scoob Kit. I don't mind trying to fix some things on the car but trouble shooting is like a Giraffes ar$e to me.
  9. You STILL had me thinking about it though.... Checking the actuator is next on the list.
  10. Would it not smoke like fook if I put diesel in it Col ? I'm used to putting diesel in the van right enough but surely I've not put it in the scoob..how would I fix that and what long term problems would there be. Actuator on the turbo..where is that and what does it look like
  11. Still nae idea lads. I've checked the hoses and can't see sh!t. Well nothing obvious anyway. But then I've nae idea what I'm looking at tbh. Starts ok, idle seems ok, no smoke. The only difference is that the exhaust sounds a little more boomy when running it round the block but then it's still in limp mode. No fault codes either. Answers on a postcard....................................
  12. 10/40
  13. I took Alans' advice and went for standard front discs, ds2500 pads with some dot5.1 fluid. It's all you'll need for the road Kit. I phoned Alyn and got a set of pads at a decent price. Just didn't fancy shelling out £300-400 for a set of discs that I don't really need or just to look nice. Braided hoses and a brake stopper kit might help aswell and don't cost the earth.
  14. Kit, try oobsters' link..Alyn ay ASPerformance He'll give you good advice over the phone
  15. There are one or two group buys on Scoobynet that might be worth a look.
  16. All the very best for the New Year folks.. Have a good one.
  17. How is the car coming along Colin, nearly there ?
  18. Well done Alan, good to here about a bit of honesty..especially these days.I would have done the same myself. Must have been a huge relief for her to get her things back. Don't think I would have excepted the £20 though..
  19. How is the car coming along ? All good i hope ;)

  20. I'm up for it..............................spectating that is. Sounds like a great day out to me.
  21. Have you got a sticky button Russell or are you just trying to put your point across lol (couldn't resist)
  22. Or have a wee read in here, food for thought. http://bbs.22b.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?...=8;t=001262;p=1
  23. Looks like the net is closing in on him aswell going by the thread. He was also talking about a garage in the glasgow/paisley area that he wasn't too impressed with.
  24. http://www.gradea-subaru.co.uk/3.html I've had a wee look and this is the only one I've came across so far. Don't know what the company is like either but hth's.
