  1. the setup ive got now is ferodo ds2500's and godspeed 2 piece discs and im very unimpressed with them...

Similar set up to mine (apart from the AP calipers) and I actually think it's pretty good, the pads and discs wear well and provide decent stopping even from cold, Godspeed used to give a full years warranty on his discs thats including trackdays as well (dont know if he still does though)

  2. thanks for all the feedback. much appreciated.

soundie made a good point. could the fluid be cooked?

pads were put on the car not long before the engine rebuild, so they have done 1500miles or so and performed like shat el arab from the off.

    hmmmmmmm

i think from memory the 1144s did squeek and i liked it cos they worked so well aside from this.

maybe i should get the fluid checked? this possible?

ps- mullac, i dont really understand your grammer there lol

I doubt the fluid would be cooked Chris, unless you were driving like a fcuking madman mile after mile, I have cooked my brake fluid before but that was on a trackday and I wouldent think you would be pushing anywhere near as hard as that on the open road?

  3. I hate to bring up old news, but actually there needs to be more banter IMHO.

Maybe im very immature but this really did make me laugh

Your 100% correct Chris, this place isn't what it was before it's almost humourless nowadays, some members judas's have defected to the .net place others have sold up and moved on, what we need is another 'gloves' thread or something similar to liven the place up.

  4. heres one foe every one to chew on i have a 96 scooby first of the face-lift models there is fault code 33 (speed sensor) and backfires when lifting off the throttle its worse inbetween cold and hot the car has yellow injectors and fancy turbo it boosts at 1.2 bar and drives fine very ocasionaly it may cut out at a junction but the backfire is too much any ideas . i had a local garage look at it and they recon because of the yellow injectors it needs a re-map

which is fine but i dont want to thow money away if its not the cure

Let me get this straight you have a set of injectors and a turbo fitted and you dont even know what they are or what size they are?

AFAIK a 96 Impreza should have 380CC injectors fitted as standard you need to find out what you have fitted ASAP, don't even drive the bloody car till you find out whats been fitted then have it remapped or it's all going to end in tears.
