You know davey, I've never heard anyone ever mention Clark Motorsport online before... Kinda curious about that... Have you used them?

Quite a few of the Hillclimb/sprint cars up here use them, I've used them in the past as well, top notch service and they didn't 'try' to sell me anything by blowing smoke up my arse as well. :)

  2. I'm not intrested in breaking any land speed records so will be exempt from the willy waving club lol :smiley-taunt014:

Steve W built it for me last year, still on the little old 20G for now. Andy will be doing my mapping as always :)

Bigger turbo is on the cards but saving up some pennies for a half decent tow car just now. Saying that I'm going to need to get it back to Steves as it's a non runner just now with some kind of electrical fault :(

Can't say I heard any rumours about you Callum other than those about your sexuality. Those were concerning a smashed in rear end also.

If someone has a bone to pick then they should say it to your slabber covered face like in the old days.

What you driving these days (apart from all the old queers crazy)?

    P.s. You're a homo.

God I love your patter Colin! :icon_flower:

A late classic sti (TY754) box will work and probably one of the cheapest options if you get a good one.

    That's the direction I took with mine, I went for a MY99 V6 Sti Box from a P1.

    That's expensive!

Yup it is, but if he needs one quick(ish) which I get the impression he does then he knows where to get one now, plus they are 2008 model boxes so should be low(ish) on miles.

  10. Yup,

    Default

We've got two late model 6 speed Dccd 2008 hatch boxes available at the moment. Complete kit with prop, linkage, mounting, clutch fork, stump shafts 3.9 ratio with 1 : 1 drops meaning 3.9 required for the rear. Either R160 or R180 can be provided at extra cost. Guaranteed boxes.

Im talking about a short block built. New liners supplied and fitted, block machined and decked. And then engine built.

Basically the cost of crank, pistons, rods, rod bolts, 4 liners and the machine work to remove the original liners and fit the new ones, deck the block and hone the liners. Block already has a 14mm head stud conversion and conversion for rear thrust crank.

I still need 14mm head studs, baffled sump water pump, oil pump, timing belt kit, and work carried out to the AVCS heads which is all at least another £1k plus if I didn't already have most of the parts :D

I've got a set of RCM 14ml headstuds sitting here, used for a grand total of fifety miles of running in with zero boost. ;)

Thanks for the replies guys, some good info there. Looks like Steve Whitson will be getting a phonecall.

Ciaran, i'll see what my options are and let you know about that block. I might just need to outdo you in the power stakes! Haha. Nah, i'll be happy at 400ish but we'll see.

    Cheers, Kev

Another vote for Steve Whitson here he's doing a wee bit of work for me as well, but AFAIK he's on his holidays just now.

This is something ive thought about. Do like the pops and bangs. Ive heard you can get it mapped to do so.

Can anyone explain to me how this actually works and why?

Let me know if you get this done, and what Andy F has to say about it.

    Cheers.

Andy would program the ECU to fire in XXX ammount of fuel below a certain RPM on the over run, 'but' as I said earlier I know it used to b the case before when it was on it was on and couldnt be turned off, I don't know if this is still the case or not, I know people who have been back to him asking for it to be turned off again.

It wouldent be too handy with the rozzer sitting up your chuffer and your poping and banging away with no way of turning it off.
