  1. If your car has been mapped for higher octane fuel running low octane is not a good idea, it's probably detting it's tits off at high RPM and you don't know about it.

You'll get away with the lower octane stuff if you keep it off boost, but thats all.

  2. think he went to the 80 after the 72 in 2004/5 and then the gorilla6. I expect they will be hard work indeed but ill manage im sure. New rig defo means ''keep it clean as long as possible''

In some ways an older one where everything is bogging would be better.

    Rowan Cowboys :kerstsmiley:

Must have been the 80 then, your old man was pretty good as company man TBH, think I was a Service Operator with Brandt (Skip & Ship) when I bumped into him, Even though I had never seen him before as soon as I seen him for the first time I knew who he was and who his son was :biggrinsanta:

    Where is he nowadays?

  3. Is the 7 where you met senior Provan? Hes now on the 6.

Ill be on the viking which has just been built in singapore.

''turnin burnin hell'' and ''time to lean, time to clean'' all sound familiar.

They can get the rousties to do that, ill watch from the floor :occasion14:

No it wasn't with Rowan I met yer old man Chris, it was one of the Ensco rigs canny mind which one now either the 70, 80, or 85. (On the last count I've been on something like 24 different rigs it's hard to tell who I've met where now lol )

Yea, there's no mercy with Rowan thats "for sure", not my cup of tea TBH.

There'll be plenty of scrubbing on the drill floor especially on a new build, so you wont't be watching the rousties for too long lol :madnoel:

  4. YEE HAA head down a$$ up that's the way we like you scrubbing the deck

"If Y'all got time to lean, Y'all got time to clean" was the phrase they liked to use.

and the rig was pretty sh1te as well TBH, fooking mahoosive thing it was but absolutely no comfort on it, no comfy sofas to relax on after shift, no TV room, the cabins were pretty decent though :kerstsmiley:

but would have been alot bloody better if they had TV's in them
